Well luckily he's a grown ass man that can make his own decisions. And nothing that happens at this point can take away from what has already been accomplished.

      @ Jump-Man, my bad.
its cool! I was just saying, people who are saying that Roys losses are tarnishing his legacy is like saying Jordan ****ed his lecacy up by coming back to the wizards. like Jordan said... whatever I do 4 the wizardsm yall cant take away my rings and mvps,

whatever Roy does for the rest of his career, nobody can take away all that he accomplished in multiple weight classes

Jordan came back 4 the love of the game, Roy is still fighting because he loves boxing.

You seem to be overly defensive about this issue and i dont understand why. With Roys style and his lack of fundamentals that he overcame with his awesome athleticism, at this point he could get really hurt if he continues. I dont want to see roy with the same issues Freddie Roach and Ali have. Should he continue fighting, every round he has at this point puts him closer to possibly being in that position.

Yes hes a grown ass man who can make his own desicion but thats also part of the problem. Many "grown ass men" continued in this sport for too long, but what makes it worse for jones is that he doesnt need the money and hes needlessly putting himself at risk.

like i said before, Freddie Roach was a grown ass man and Eddie Futch did everything he could to get him to pull the plug on his career, he didint and now look at him.

Is that what you want to see Roy become if he continues to have knockout losses that rattle his brain like this?

You make a solid point there as always. But as a huge Roy fan I would love to see him continue and never go away and support him till death if he wants to continue. I know it sounds like a man crush but i'm just a big Roy fan and i'm just one of those supporters that will defend every decision he makes. On the safety side you are absolutely right, without a doubt.

I understand what you are saying, and I respect you as a poster and as a caller on the show so my defensive mindset isn't against you personally.

Only against people who talk about his losses at this point as if it takes away from what he has already accomplished throughout his career.

People wishing upon his retirement at this point is understandable, and I understand where you are coming from. There seems to be an overwhelming of "see Roy was never that good anyway" and "Roy is ruining his legacy" posts, so my defensive posts are more to those people.

All fighters have the right (At least in North America) to force his opponents to be re-wrapped if done illegally. Also Danny Green was never a huge puncher, and Roy has faced better punches and never has been laid out from a glancing shot in the first ****ing round.
What is or isnt normal is not relevant. Both sides should have signed the wraps which they did and both sides must have checked for how it was wrapped which they also did. Why didnt Roy cry foul prior to or during the fight? Danny Green has always been known as a hard puncher and a boxer with plenty of heart. I guess on the night Roy simply underestimated an overseas boxer, his show boating style isnt the best idea when going up against a hard puncher like Green.

Many overseas fighters also do not want to leave their country. In most instances it is the overseas fighters who must accomodate the American officials, American rules, American governing bodies. In most of these fights it is the American fighters who have home ground advantage, they do not have to leave their homes and change their routines by much. There have also been MANY fights with odd decisions.

Roy Jones Jr fought in Australia, Australian officials are just as competent as Americans, and the fight was overseen by Australian officials who would have looked for and detected instances of cheating. If cheating was found the officials would have stopped the fight. The only thing RJJ's camp would've had to do is point it out to the officials, the officials would have checked it and acted upon it. The officials would've have to deal with any crowd backlash etc.

The fact of the matter is that RJJ NEVER mentioned it while in Australia and never mentioned it to the officials. He went home and cried to momma to protect his ego.

You are wrong in every instance of your post.

The link to the letter specifically points out against everything you have said.

It was pointed out in Australia... matter of fact, the live broadcast in Australia was delayed because they stated there is "an issue with the gloves and the wraps right now".

I guess some fighters have enough sense to not put boxing into disrepute. What woule he have said? "the wraps I used were legal"? Its basically a case of RJJ's word versus Danny Greens word.

Picture of empty boxes doesnt prove anything and does not prove whether Green used an illegal wraps during the fight. Also, RJJ must provide everyone with the actual pictures before anyone from the Green camp can comment properly.

what are you guys on man? seriously you expect Roy to say something while he's still over there? let alone in the ****ing ring inside the arena?
YES, no one wants cheating and RJJ should have complained during the fight. Australia isnt a dangerous country and have hosted some of the biggest and best events in sports. If RJJ is worried about any organised crime, someone should have told him that Australia's organised crime isnt very organised and are more interested in offing each other.

they not gonna give a **** about what happens to him yo they probably was treating him ****ty the whole time and probably put him in a ****ty dressing room, they wasn't showing this legend no respect
I have absolutely no doubt that Roy Jones Jr was treated allot better than Danny Green. He would have been driven around in a limo, stayed in the best and most exclusive Hotels and pampered like a King. Australians are typically not the showoff types like the Americans.

                      http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/da...-1225804415410

-If ever there was a bloke who understood how little showbiz means to success, it is Green. He runs the streets alone, trains among reserve-grade rugby league players.
-There is no driver as Green dodges peak-hour traffic on Wednesday morning trips to the Parramatta Stadium gym.
-No razzamatazz as he spends the next 90 minutes in a whirl of furious exercises, treadmill runs and old-school antics. Green challenges monster Parramatta prop Fuifui Moimoi to choke him, demands conditioner Hayden Knowles karate-chop his neck, too.
-Jones recently whinged when there was no chauffeured limousine to take him from Sydney Airport. Green is more concerned about finding $2.75 in his centre console for the M4 toll. "Yet people are always telling me about the glamorous world of boxing," he said. "But it's bulls---, mate. Doesn't exist."
-Green drives a 1974 Falcon and will not play AC/DC "without Bon Scott". And when he and Hyder fall to the floor wrestling on Wednesday morning, Green immediately attacks the mouth with his dreaded "fishhook" manoeuvre.
-Then there was a moment at midnight on Tuesday, when a group of schoolboys using a room opposite were still partying in the hallway, screaming, laughing and randomly ringing doorbells. "Then they buzzed mine," Green said. "So I've opened the door in my shorts and asked what the bloody hell was going on. "There was about 20 kids. They all went pretty quiet." That's where it would have ended for most athletes. But not Green. He was back in bed less then five minutes before rising again, crossing the hall and ****ing on the door to apologise for being so harsh.

Pink couldn't even KO Mundine and he's going to do that to Roy Jones Jr on a shot that barely even landed? **** outta here son don't play my boy Roy Jones Jr like that man he paid his dues
And you think Danna Green hasnt paid his dues? The guy has busted his as$, trained hard and trained even harder when all people could talk about was how he was going to loose. Green didnt KO mundine but has KOéd 25 fighters from his 28 wins. Green has always been regarded as a hard puncher.

Most people went for Roy Jones Jr to win this fight, I went for Danny Green. Why? because I kned that RJJ likes to showboat and keep his hands low, I also know that Danny has a hard punch and will most likely see an opening and land one good one.
