they dont get properly tested. a urine test doesnt detect alot of illegal substances, to make it simple an olympic style testing acctually works in preventing use of illegal substances. the current system is very basic and flawed. hopefully this initative from the mayweather camp will lead to mandatory blood tests for all boxing events, its about time.

it should be an example...but it won't because of the cost of testing

i dont get what you're saying though. wouldn't pac be the one considered the one to not want the fight if he continues to refuse having his blood tested? i'm a pac fan but i don't see what's stopping him from agreeing to it. manny is trippin. the best way to end all the su****ion and to make the fight a done deal is to agree to the testing. he has nothing to hide right so why is he acting like he does? it would be a shame if the fight doesn't go down because of drug testing.

I can't blame floyd; he's fighting a guy that has been "rumored" to be using either steroids or hgh... I dont believe pacquiao is but i would like him to take the test just to put all the rumors to rest...

                  DUDE, you're slow..

he agreed to blood testing..just not olympic style....

he agreed before the press conferences start and RIGHT after THE FIGHT..like they normaly do..

are you implying that if he had drugs in his system they wont show RIGHT after the fight?

use your brain. some ppl dont want needles stuck in them every 30 days

Olympic style testing is more frequest IN BEWTEEN bouts cause you are fighting day to day or week to week

                  dont be SO IGNORANT

Come on guys. Say all you want about the drug test demanded by Mayweather, but you can't say that it's unfair or not needed. Professional athletes go to great lengths to hide the PED's they use. This is a fact. I will repeat. It's a fact- from swimmers, to weightlifters, to boxers, etc. They all cheat and would cheat even more if testing standards were less rigorous. It never fails. Testing standards get tough and performance goes down. I have seen it time and time again. Pacquiao should not be scared of a random blood test. The amount of blood needed would be so small as to be non-consequential. Scared of needles, psychological issues??? I can't believe we are taking this seriously. Both he and Mayweather should test randomly, urine and blood. Neither has anything to lose if he's clean.
