As much as i hate to say it i think James De Gale is the best prospect in Britain. Granted he has not fought anyone yet, but i mean just on skillet and potential.
Yeah, I think DeGale gets too much criticism. He's a counter-puncher, and so they need to put him in with guys who are going to try and win. If they put him in with guys who are just coming for a paycheck/to survive, he's going to look bad because he's not that good at leading really.

They did good putting him against that 5-0 guy. That guy was crap and too small, but he was aggressive so DeGale was able to put in a good performance.

i agree, his style makes it hard for him too look good against these journeyman types but when facing a guy who comes too win he could really surprise people with his skillset imo

Another British prospect I like is George Groves. Only 7 fights so far but is entertaining to watch and talented.

Is Kell Brook big enough to successfully move up in weight later in his career?

At 5'9" it seems unlikely, unless it's just 154.

I've seen bits and pieces from the UK, he's got great head movement from a prospect. Something you rarely see, but he's from the Ingle gym I suppose so it's not unexpected.

Good power, but he doesn't body punch. Thats a problem that might affect him later on in his career.

hes definitly not a guy that can move up through the weights with ease

you can tell by his build that he is a solid 147,very strong at the weight, but might not be as effective if moving up,kind of like hatton

I cant stand the guys attitude if im honest, but he does have ability. I actually prefer watching fighters like De Gale rather than fighters like Kevin Mitchell, Appleby who are your typical British fighter, very aggressive with little defence.

Im a big fan of Ian Napa and Booth because of their technical ability & Boxing skill. That said i am starting to become a bit of a John Simpson fan, Simpson is a tough little SOB.

Agree with you point about the style issue. What Warren should do is find him a credible opponent who is going to pressure him, not pressure him where he is closing distance fast and giving him no time, but a pressure fighter who comes foward methodically with slow foot movement who gives you time to pick him apart with counters, he will really shine with this type of opponent imo.

Yeah, apparently he spars with Froch sometimes.

You'd have to be a ****y bastard if you spend time with Haye and Froch I suppose, otherwise you'd never get a chance to speak.

booth is a very skilled dude imo he has impressed me
simpson is the definition of tough

i think warren needs too find a few guys with that style for degale too fight
it will give him expierience fighting his type of fight using his style, which i think is essential for a prospect coming up
