Not much has changed since Manny Pacquiao’s Welterweight win over Miguel Cotto provided the last shake up, but there has been enough in December to merit some shifts in the ratings. While others move, only one departs.

Exiting the top ten is Cotto. It is no insult to Cotto. The Puerto Rican star has faced a tougher field of comp over the last few years than almost anyone in the sport and deserves full credit for it, but the reality is he has also taken full punishment in the ring. Always found it quite ignorant opinion... Nothing personal... But try to imagine if you try to make Wlad smaller... He has good footwork, nice left hook, ATG jab, explosive right hand, very athletic, weak chin and etc... As you are "making him smaller" you should add some speed... And, can you guess, whom are you getting?

A good big fighter will always look sillier than the good small fighter, despite the fact that the good big man always beats the good small man. If you try to compare fighters of the different weight classes you should think about the speed changes, which will obviously "occur"... And if you do that, any of the Klits is not going to get their ass kicked for the reasons, which surprisingly aren`t obvious for everybody... Damn, both Marciano and Foreman weren`t lightning-fast... Does it mean they would have their ass kicked if "transormed" into smaller men?

If Wlad made a 53(47)-3-0 record by accident, how can one call... say, Joe Calzaghe`s career? Misunderstanding?

I disagree. Ali, Holyfield, Johnson (for example)...all had elite level speed in any class and rarely looked silly against anyone. As to Tommy Hearns, I don't see the comparison to Wlad at all. He fought successfully across six modern weight classes and was a balls out guy against largely great opposition with one black mark opponent (Barkley); he was a killer who decapitated some HOFers. Wlad fights skittish against the worst Heavyweight field in history.

His record is not an accident. He's a good Heavyweight and may end up a great one. I just don't know if there's anything great about him outside the class. If one views P4P as a list of relative accomplishments alone, a case can be made. I see it different.

And I'm sorry but I still don't understand all the hype over Dawson. He is a good fighter but I just don't see him up there and even if he is in the list why is he #5.

Hasegawa belongs there. Bradley is no.10 in my opinion.

I find it funny...people who know who Hasegawa is are cool with his placement. Those who don't need to look him up. He's the goods. Boxing doesn't stop off English speaking TV.

As to Gamboa and Berto, I agree entirely. They are both positioned in 2010 to either rise to the occasion or be exposed as not belonging. That's the fun of the sport.

I had him beating Martinez by a point. As to DAwson, those 40 year olds were still pretty good, and Adamek was a whitewash minus the knockdown. He's well beyond potential at this point.
