Why is Dawson waiting so long to get back in the ring?

outside of Johnson-Mack fighting in January I don't see any of the other top LHW's stepping in the ring so quickly

I mean your holding the fact that Dawson isn't fighting in December or Jan against him to build up this "8 month inactivity" which doesn't really add up to 8 months because Chad as of yet isn't fighting in July.

is it Dawson's fault HBO had his fight date originally scheduled for April?

I'm sure that HBO would keep that April date for Dawson if he agreed to fight Cloud. And if not April, why not May. The more inactive Dawson and Cloud are, the less people are gonna care about them.

I agree that Dawson should fight Cloud while he is waiting for Pascal. Waiting for Pascal to heal up just doesn't make sense. HBO would be crazy not to put up money for this fight.

Well Pascal has a dislocated shoulder and a broken collar bone, I don't expect Pascal to get back in the ring until October. Yes Dawson's options are limited. He can fight Bute but I don't know if he will be at 100% at 168. I would love to see that fight though.

Tavoris Cloud is also another option, but Glen Joshnon and Yusaf Mack is fighting for an IBF eliminator. If Dawson beats Cloud, he might have to fight Glen Johnson again.

If I were Dawson I would fight Cloud, and if Dawson has to fight Glen Johnson again, he should just drop his belt.

They should at least fight on a double header to get people interested. That was proposed before, but Cloud turned it down for a title shot against Woods which is somewhat understandable I suppose. But now I heard in that last press release by Cloud that Dawson won't entertain the thought of Cloud fighting on his undercard, and that's ******.
