i think people take the word "drained" in exaggeration. some fighters are fine and some aren't with a CW.

Cotto was 146 a fight before against Clottey. He lost 1 pound extra for Manny coming up in weight from 140 and said he was fine.

Team Pac likely just hopes Cotto's muscles are more worn than usual trying to lose an extra pound or two than usual? I would imagine CWs are harder on guys who blow up after fights too.

As much as I like Manny Pacquaio, I can't totally dismiss the asterisk factor and the many questions as to possible PEDs use. Yes, he whooped Cotto and yes it looked great in high definition but... Again, the question is out there. I am not going to be giving out trophies anytime soon considering the likelyhood of juicing. I know Freddie Roach is on record as saying Ariza was a shady bastard and would not tell him what he was "giving Manny..." This is one of the reasons Roach got rid of Ariza...

Manny is a likeable guy so for me it's unfortunate but I am a cynical bastard and I understand where there is smoke, there is often fire.
