Floyd made the same mistake here against Zab that he made against Chop Chop of trying to low-left-guard-shoulder-roll a southpaw. Floyd's a smart fighter so I doubt he makes the same mistake yet again against Pac. Plus even when he did make those mistakes, we all know he adjusted eventually and won both fights.
Besides this shot, Zab landed some nice shots on Floyd through the 1st four rounds, but they were mostly counterpunches where Zab was able to set traps by feinting a jab, slipping Floyd's counter, then landing his own counter. IMO Pac don't have Zab's slickness/defensive reflexes/reach to be able to do that....but I guess we'll find out soon enough won't we.

how can a great defensive boxer get hit with that basic punch?
those gifs are more guard than shoulder roll. Floyd could only shoulder roll from his left side, when he's NOT going against a southpaw. It's muscle memory for floyd, he just isnt used to those straight lead lefts coming and probably isnt used to dodging it.
I suspect he'll try to train for it against Manny. Roach probably knows this, and will devise a plan to manipulate floyd with it.
Floyd could only shoulder roll from his left side,
I dunno...Floyd is an ambidextrous cat...
I wouldn't be surprised at all if he switches southpaw a lot in the Pac fight.. Against Judah he did... landed a nice straight left too.
I don't really recall offhand him doing this, but imagine Floyd switched to southpaw stance, shoulder rolling... All these arguments about southpaws beating the shoulder roll would be moot.
There'd also be a bunch of people cursing at their TV sets...

its rare, I think Ive seen him shoulder roll left and rights against n'dou, but he was just punching wildly.
Id like to see floyd try it, He'd have to be pretty quick to shoulder roll Manny, and from a stance he's not used to, it could actually work against him
