Dont let Freddie Roach see this.

Against Zab Judah he adopted the high guard defence, from about round 5 onwards. This is why I say Toneys shoulder roll is better than Floyds, because he can use his against southpaws, like he did against Robinson.

this was a once in a fight mistake. not a habit.

im not Mayweather nuthugger but this example isnt much of a good one...now if this happened everytime Floyd faced a southpaw it would be different.

I like Floyd's shoulder roll too, it's how he's going to use it against Pac that is intriuging. =)

The problem is Floyd rarely uses the shoulder roll anymore against Southpaws and his D is still great. Its actually a bad thing for Pac that the shoulder roll doesnt work. It forces Floyd to use the high guard defense which makes Floyd more offensive, faster because his hands are already in front of his face, and much easier for him to counter

Like I said in my reedited post, Floyd uses a high guard against southpaws, Al Haymon also said the same thing.

every knowledgeable mayweather fan knows floyd's shoulder roll doesnt do that well against a southpaw. he'll be better off using the high guard.
