How can you hate a guy who will fight anybody and wants to fight everybody.

He comes to the ring with a smile on his face becaus he loves what he does..

He comes to fight..not box and pot shot..Williams comes to fight.

He doesnt run in the ring and he doesnt duck anybody.

He has a good chin, a crowd pleasing style and he never stops throwing punches.

After the Martinez fight the first thing out his mouth was.......

"I dont look for easy fights, I look for the hard fights and I'd love to re-match Martinez"

Most people avoid fighters who cause them match-up problems.....Williams goes TOWARDS those fights..Quitana, Martinez...etc...



He also has his eyes set on Pavlik the 160 Pound Champion.

Clottey vs Cotto was easy to make because both were promoted by Top Rank and Clottey was a top rated WW and the IBF champ until the IBF stripped him. As far as Jennings and Gomez are concerned, again...so what if he fought them? You're telling me every fighter in history has never had ham and egger fights? What did each of those fights lead up to? Fights with both Margarito and Clottey. Only people who hate on Cotto will mention Gomez or Jennings, just like people who hate on Leonard will mention Dave Green or Bruce Finch. It's ******.

Hell I dont think Pavlik can take that many punches..........to be honest...

Im going to talk Williams-Pavlik tonight on the show.

I doubt PWill could stop Pavlik. HIGHLY doubt it.

You also have to remember that Paul is used to punching down on his opponents and always has the reach and height advantage. This would be the first time Williams ever faces someone his size. Believe me, that matters. Ask Miguel Cotto the difference between fighting smaller guys vs. bigger guys. Cotto is a different fighter when he's looking up to his opponent, much less effective.

Like I said, I think I would favor Williams because he's determined and his sheer punch output would be tough to overcome. But this is NOT a fight I would bet on. This would be entirely new ground for Williams. I don't think you're being honest with yourself if you can't admit that.
