I don't hate Pwill, I hate "The most avoided man in boxing". If Williams was just Williams the boxer who was working to become a champion, to build a devout fan base, to fight his way to the big fights, then I wouldn't mind Williams.
Instead, Williams is "The Most Avoided Man in Boxing" which drives me effing crazy. He's currently a high risk, low reward fighter. I don't blame him for being talented, but I do blame his promoters for making me hate hearing about him.
You can say that not liking Paul Williams makes you not a true boxing fan all you want, but me, as a boxing fan, I tend to base my appreciation of a boxer on what they do in the ring with the opportunities provided, not what they say they could do were an opportunity provided.
