That being said I am not dillusional ether and see that Williams has flaws but to me that is what makes boxing great. Every style has flaws it is the job of the other fighter to capitalize on them. To this point there aren't any with the exception of Quintana who have been able to do so....Lefty
He has flaws but only SLICK southpaws can expose them..................

Round 1 I gave it to Martinez. But, that round could of been a draw also. That round is not clear round for Martinez. But, anyways if you did you scored 6rds of Martinez. Which means P-Will could of won the other 6. Which it would be a draw. So in there is no way fight that could be a draw that could be a robbery.

The MW division is a very prestigeous division one of the original eight. He would do it well to take the crown and become udisputed middle weight champion. After seeing him fight Martinez his style has been exposed some what and he can be defeated but it would take a special set of attributes to do so. i think a hard puncher at 160 would give him problems because he leaves himself out of position and open to counters. he is off balance and throws punches from way to far outside. he does not use his height and bends over towards his opponents putting himself more in range for attacks. his chin is good at 147 and 154 but after being dropped by martinez and seriously hurt in that first round I doubt his chin is that good at 160 or above. As for fighting above 160 I think it would be very hard for him to take on guys like Abraham, Froch and Kessler. Hec I think the JT that fought Froch puts him away....Lefty
Burner how come you never replied to this post by me. I think I made some good points about what you said about Cotto not fighting Williams and made a case for Williams to stay at 160....Lefty

Nope but at 147 Clottey did at one point. at 154 Dzinziruk, Martinez, and Kirkland did, and just last year P-Will out priced himself out of the Pavlik fight at 160. So to me that he froze 3 weightclasses is just not true.

That's what we know right now.

There's also another type of fighter who we've yet to see him against, a puncher.

Sharmba Mitchell, Quintana, Margarito, Phillips, Winky, and Martinez are all not what you would consider big punchers. Margs is the closest thing and he's more of an accumulation guy.

If Martinez can hurt and floor this guy, wouldn't it be possible if not probable that a puncher like Pavlik could SERIOUSLY hurt him?

Personally I would favor Williams to beat Pavlik, but I think Williams chin still has a few question marks, because like I said he hasn't faced a dynamite puncher yet.

So what though? Here's the irony of it all...

You being a Floyd fan, you'll say, "It makes no sense for Mayweather to fight Andre Berto or Joshua Clottey because they bring no fans, no money"...which I'll agree with you. So now you got Paul Williams. Frankly, I like the dude, but he can't draw for ****. Look at his last fights with Winky and Martinez. They literally had to pack people in the front row for the cameras.

But Cotto, who's fought Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, and Pacquiao is scared to fight Paul Williams? Once again...

Williams is a good fighter, but he ain't a killer bro.

I've said the same thing about Cotto, but somehow people do.

If you really like a fighter, it's hard to see why others wouldn't. Just how it is.
