It's an interesting matchup, but I'd really hate to see Malignaggi lose another close decision and talk his way into a boring rematch.

    1. HBO has 1 star at 140 - Hatton
    2. HBO has/will have 2 "pets" in the making at 140 - Khan & Ortiz
    3. A few middle ground fighters they dont mind showing who are good for the pets - Urango, Malignaggi, Judah, Diaz
    4. And finally the real Junior Welter's that need to fight the "pets" in making - Bradley, Alexander, Holt, Maidana

HBO will have these pets fighting obscure opponents until they're stars or the demand is for otherwise. I give Khan two more fights until i'll be demanding a matchup with Bradley if they both continue on their winning ways.

This re-enforces that after the Prescott fight Khan will not fight nobody with any kind of punching power

imo Khan will beat paulie easier than Hatton and Cotto did.

Paulie is just a feather fisted punk who thinks he is better than he actually is.

Why all the hate for Khan for fighting Malinaggi, in the real world (not the hater world) he's a respected boxer who went 12 rounds with Miguel Cotto and 11 with Ricky Hatton as well as beating Juan Diaz twice.

Good on you if you do take this fight Khan.

Noody is criticizing this fight because Malignaggi is a bad fighter, because he aint. he is a very durable boxer with good wins.

The thing is Since getting KTFO Khan has only fought feather fisted fighters and has already said he'll vacate before fighting Maidana who him should be fughting!!!!

Hes so young and everybody knows his chin is suspect, is it so criminal that roach is giving him fights against very quick fighters who will be able to improve his defence for future fights against power punchers. His career would be over now if he did it the other way.

Good test, we would see where Khan skill levels are.

deffo, he's a kid making his way into his boxing career and building his name. If his coach feels his defence isn't quite there for the big ****ers right now, then why do it. If this fight happens I'd just be happy he's taking on a credible opponent with a solid rep coming off a good win and not a another one of Warren's 1 rounders.

This is a match up I like, both with quick hands, feet plus good boxing skills. One with a good chin, not much power and the other with a sketchy chin and decent power.
