roach did say he'll OK a blood test, just not within the last 6 weeks before the fight. first of all boxing is business, distant second is the chivalry of the fighters. now, this is one of the biggest fights in decades, and one should take as much territory as he can in the negotiating table. mental territory is just as important, so i guess roach is just trying stand his ground and let anyone push him around. i think that's fair.

no you're right mate....pacquiao should've fought Cotto at a catchweight of 142 for the welterweight title....does that sound like a big enough advantage at the negotiation table?

there is this thing called 'grow'. maybe by march 2010 Roach thinks that Pac will have grown properly into a 147 fighter. but the question why did cotto have to fight pac at 145? only cotto knows. why he agreed to it. he said 1lb was no big deal and that he lost to the greatest fighters he ever faced. period. i didn't hear him or his camp complaining about the 1lb issue (he was 146 the previous fight) after he lost to Pac. They moved on, so why can't we?

you're totally right about that---it shouldn't affect a fighters' performance and it didn't when Pacquiao first fought Morales and Pacquiao had to take blood tests a few days before the fight--I just think that Pacquiao subscribes to the belief that the blood test somehow weakened him and it has screwed with this psyche ever since.

People he's still going to take the blood tests whether it be 6 six weeks before or right after the fight. Just relax.

The tests are done Randomly which means you should not know when you're going to be tested.
What's the point of these tests if you know when you're not going to be tested, you can use the drugs that time and clean up after that period.

Rashard Lewis was banned for taking a banned substance unknowingly.

Pac does not know what he's taking so why not get tested properly to see it it's legal or not.
