Roach won't "allow" Manny to take any blood tests 6 weeks before the fight? Why not? If they have nothing to hide it should be no problem.

Yeah, even Pac fans have to admit that Roach sounds dumb with some of the weight stuff. Its ok to say that he wants the fight at 147 and nothing more but he goes way overboard and sounds dumb talking about how its a WW fight yet he tried to make Cotto come down to him. All in all, I think the fight is pretty much done but I dont think Floyd Senior is happy about Pac's team 1st saying yes to the Blood test but now saying that they will only do it months before the fight. Then what does that really prove? Is he going to agree to allow Pac to be tested post fight? Thats one of the holdups I think. The other is that I dont think Floyd is signing until they set the venue. He doesnt want to sign and be forced to fight in some place that he doesnt want to.

thats got nothing to do with superstition....thats just pacquiao being mentally weak and making excuses.....if you have nothing to hide there should be no problem....if roach and pacman don't take these tests it is going to damage his legacy forever....people will start claiming he dodged drug tests..etc

Mo**ey Mayweather & Co are lucky PAC is accomodating the idea of Olympic style testing. The thing is, just on prinicple alone, PAC could've just flatout said no to the whole idea.

Why should PAC even be subjected to this type of testing(even though both parties have agreed that both fighters will be tested) ?

I can understand if PAC has failed a drug test, or there's some type of hard evidence that PAC is doin' somethin'. There's none, all this crap started because an individual(Crackhead Sr) is simply making accusations based on what ?

It's no different than some random person starts accusing you of doin' somethin' just because they thought so, and they in turn asks you to do a drug test, would you do it ?

Would you really go through all that trouble of getting blood work taken out of you, just so somebody of Crackhead Sr's low IQ thinks you're doin' somethin ?

There is too much weight being put on blood and urine tests. There are ways to beat everything out there. Remember Shane Mosley NEVER tested positive for anything. Not a single blood or urine test ever came up with a positive for Mosley. He came clean during the BALCO hearings to avoid having to go to prison like some of the other athletes. When those hearing transcipts became public, he had to come clean.

Not every fighter is the same. Roach said it wouldn't affect him physically but mentally which would take Pacquiao back to Morales 1--where I believe Pacquiao thought he lost because of the blood tests taken few days before the fight. Just chalk it up to Pacquiao being a superstitious guy. Like what Atlas always talks about boxing--a large part of boxing is the mental game.

The Drug test uses Blood OR Urine so the tests will still proceed as normal.

Some guys like Pacquiao just don't like needles even though they're supposedly tough guys.
