“I will not let anyone take blood from many weeks before the fight, because it will MENTALLY affect him.” - Freddie roachOn Wednesday night in New York, BoxingScene.com traveled down to BB King's Blues Club & Grill in the heart of Times Square, and sat down with Freddie Roach in the dressing room of Guillermo Rigondeaux, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner. To the surprise of many, Roach flew in to New York to work the corner of his newest pupil, Rigondeaux of Cuba. Roach predicted big things for Manny Pacquiao. They happened. He predicted big things for Amir Khan. They happened. Roach predicts big things for Rigondeaux. In a year or two, Roach thinks his fighter will become a champion like Pacquiao and Khan. What????????
If it has no PHYSICAL affects, I don’t understand how it’ll have MENTAL affects…..unless there’s something to hide….
Not saying manny’s on something, because in my honest opinion, he IS NOT…..but the more his people open their mouths about this topic, the more damage they do.Comment

You are wrong. Some forms of HGH are taking during trainning to make the recovery time in healing the muscle quicker so the athlete can continue to train intensly. It is not needed for fight night just during trainning. Steroids is not the only enhancing drug out there. So I can see why they would want a test during trainning, IMO this is unheard of and I don't remember any other boxer getting test during trainning.6 weeks before the fight?? that's too long and drug test render useless if so. IMO, drugs are taken just few days before the fight to have an effect at least not 6 weeks before the fight. That means, if somebody will take drugs he will do it just after that blood testing, let's say 6 weeks just after the testing to the day of the fight.
This is all Ariza's fault for saying that Manny doesn't know what he is taking. So what does it mean? If there is a substance he is innocent cause he didn't know?
In the end if nothing is found there will be no excuses, they would have to recognize him like Lance Armstrong who is the most tested athlete in the WorldLast edited by TOBYLEE1; 12-17-2009, 09:05 AM.Comment

That was his biggest pay day and if he won it he would had made more money with the upcomming fights.
The weight advantage only benefited Pac not Cotto. Now in his next fight he is willing to fight at 147 it is so obviousComment

Everybody needs to calm down about the drug testing issue! The babbling idiots (Floyd Sr. and Roger) don't know anything. Babbling idiot #1 (Floyd Sr.) accused Pacman of using drugs but he don't know d*ck about squat! Just because he is a drug dealer son of a b*tch means nothing. Just because he ****** on a doctor's d*ck in jail means nothing. Just because he got butt f**ked by Bubba in jail means nothing. He is a f**king dumb**** so why does anyone listen to what he says. He doesn't have any proof whatsoever, he just babbles like a little b*tch. I hope that Pacman beats Floyd's ass so bad that he will become babbling idiot #3.Comment

Man, I agree with you 100%. I mean word for word. I don't think he is on roids or whatever, but the more his camp talks, more questions will continue to be brought up.“I will not let anyone take blood from many weeks before the fight, because it will MENTALLY affect him.” - Freddie roach
