You Can't Have it Both Ways....

I've been reading on this board about what a scrub Floyd is.

Apparently, Floyd is a ducking, running, overrated, feather-fisted, gay, scaredy cat who has avoided all decent opposition. The man is a complete, thorough and unabashed FRAUD.

    That's fine. Opinions vary.

But when Manny beats that C+ fighter, then Pacquaio doesn't really deserve any credit for that...right? I mean, even the most ardent Pac fan wasn't thumping their chests about Pac beating Solis. Sure, a win is a win. But how much does it really mean to beat a guy several levels below you. Right?

You can't have it both ways. Either:

Floyd is a great fighter, and a win over FMJ is a tremendous accomplishment

    -or-

Floyd is a fraud, and a win over him does not enhance your resume one bit.

I have been saying that for a couple weeks now... Same thing goes to Floyd fans who keep saying Pac is overhyped overrated fighter. Who has no chance in this fight.

Never been a time where (IMO) Mayweather was gonna face an opponent who had this much a chance of beating him. So my question to all, any other Mayweather fans feeling the same way?

IMO this fight is 50-50 maybe 60-40 in Floyd favor. And, if you confident Floyd or Pac is going to win fine. I am ok with it. But, when you say Floyd or Pac do not have a chance to win. Then you taking away credit from a great win.

It's not even Christmas yet?! They haven't even had a press conference. At least the Hattonites waited until Floyd acted a fool at the presser before they lost their minds.

And the FloydCrew didn't hate Ricky until the 24/7 smack talk from Manchester.

The venom on here is bananas.

Hence why people say a win over Pacquiao doesn't prove anything for Floyd but a Pacquiao win over Mayweather makes Pacquiao a legend.

If people actually see Pacquiao as a threat to Mayweather then they would have said the winner of this fight will be the better man. But that's not the case, people still say that regardless of how Pacquiao losses he's still better than Mayweather and that Mayweather has nothing to gain from beating Pacquiao.

Maybe that is what drives Floyd fans to say these things about Pacquiao. I'm just saying.

I agree with every post in this thread so far. These are the two best fighters of the decade, it's time for people on both sides to realize this. Hopefully everyone will be able to enjoy this fight for what it is, and not just fill their heart with hatred of whichever guy they aren't rooting for. Appreciate these two, because with the rising popularity of MMA, it could be a long wait until a fight between two spectacular fighters like this happens again.
