Hatton was fighting at 147. If PBF didnt want people to criticise him he would have taken hatton at 140. But at the time PBF wasnt thinking clearly and about his legacy, and people not criticing him. All he wanted to do was give himself the best opportunity to beat hatton, which he wasnt sure he could at 140. That is a chicken to me, and not someone who was willing to take risks. It was someone who doubted his own abilities. Not someone who will go down as an ATG. Him fighting JMM is the same.

He barely beat a past it DLH. Pac showed how you should deal with past it champions. Without making excuses about how good the DLH was that fought PBF and the DLH who fought Pac. DLH signed the contract to fight Pac at 147. He is a grown man and knew what he was doing. He thought he could beat Pac, as did everyone else.

When youl look at it. If PBF even makes the ATG list, he will have overachieved and be proud of himself.

*yawn*You are one of the most dimensional predictably ignorant posters on this site. And that's saying something.

I have seen old threads with a lot of people who thought Marquez wouild beat Mayweeatrhr. Or at the very least make him look bad. Of course it was a different story after the fight. Lots of excuses.

So the PBF lovers say. But we are talking about a man who says people criticise him no matter what he does. So why not fight hatton at 140? After Hatton fought at 147 he said it wasnt the weight for him after beating Collazo.
If you cant answer dont try being a salesman to me, and get me to buy something i dont want. Your excuses are not wanted.

To me PBF wants the names on his resume. But wants to make it as risk free as he can. Does that sound just about right to you all?

And im only doing this thread in response to all the PBF lovers do for Pac. But i try not to talk garbage while im doing it.

Yes, they are his biggest name. But not biggest wins

Hatton wanted at 147, not Floyd. When Floyd was campaigning at 140. He offered Hatton a fight. Yet Hatton and his camp said he was green even when he had more fights. Hatton won a title at WW.

Oscar was weight drained. He was a merely 147 fight night. Oscar was 165 against PBF fight night. Mayweather fought Oscar at his best weight while he had a title and was number one ranked WW. Oscar had not fought in 7 years at WW when he fought Pacman

Floyd is a top 15 ATG imo

Nah i think Hatton wanted it at 140. Everything DLH ever achieved that made his name was at 147. PBF is a natural 147 guy so moving up against a past it DLH who was not p4p top 10 was no problem.
PBF isnt top 15 ATG IMO and historians that counts opinion. If he had of beat Hatton at 140 without help from the ref and JMM at his weight, then he would have a case for being more respected than he is.
But the reality is, he isnt. A great defensive boxer maybe, but resume wise is his downfall.

Exactly and I was surprised. And, it showed he was a true champion by doing that IMO. He wanted to remove all doubts.

No, Hatton stated he wanted at 147, since PBF was the only WW near his size and he thought he was beatable.

Oscar lost to Mosley and Tito at 147. Oscar was clearly better at 154 than 147. He clearly beat Mosley at 154. Oscar was the number one ranked Jr MW when PBF beat him

Hatton ducked PBF at 140, if you don't this, goes to show your boxing knowledge is lacking
