Is it just me or would a loss be extremely bad for Mayweather?

Whoever he loses to (assuming the loss was reasonable) would get a rematch for a BIGGER amount.

That is the way these things have worked.

Honestly.......less damaging than a Mayweather loss. Don't get me wrong...it will be bad....but not as bad.

It does hurt his drawing power because he short-sightedly put so much emphasis on being undefeated, when in reality fans don't care about records in boxing, they just want to see great fights. Most of his drawing power is that he plays the villain who everyone wants to see get knocked off. When he does get beaten, where does he go from there?
good point, but the odds of Mayweather fighting in a war is slim to none

          Chups,

You are missing my question. Perhaps i worded it poorly.

What does it say about FLOYD and his legacy if he dominates Top 5 ATG Pacquiao in Pac's prime?

If he loses it will be a field day, if he gets blown out and kod it would be even worse.

yes, because floyd's self-professed argument for greatness is his undefeated record. without it he isn't so special.

If he losses it will be the end of his career. The whole reason he is huge to the casual fan is because of his undefeated record and he makes it no secret that he has never been beaten. He is always bashing fighters because of their losses, so that is the one thing he is hanging on to. If he loses the PPV buys will not be there for him, meaning smaller pay days, and since hes in the mind set of huge paydays I doubt he takes a small one. If Floyd keeps winning he will keep fighting but a loss will end his career imo.
