you act like Cotto was 178yrs old and still wasn't a legit welterweight

just on activity alone, PAC has the edge....Floyd wants to come back and fight someone with that kind of handspeed? really?

you think he'll handle it, i dont...he's fighting an elite...from a 2 year layoff to having to increase his punch output to keep PAC honest, i think he has a ***** of a time

    true story
just going off of what ya boy roach said himself.."cotto is damaged goods"maybe roach shouldnt talk so much...but seriously..when has manny ever faced an ellusive foe??how do you prepare for floyd??

The agreed catchweight was 144. He couldn't make it, so he changed the contract at the last minute. That, to me, is far worse than arranging a catchweight itself.

floyd's jab to the body might have to be used sparingly as well. he can be effective with it against manny because manny has shorter reach but don't use it too much because it'll leave him vulnerable to a counter right hook.

plus floyd should fight tall. throwing his jabs to the body is a great punch but he'll be coming down to manny's level. he should use that 2 inch. height advantage and make pacquiao reach.

if pacquiao can't effectively counter the lead right and jab of floyd's he's gonna get beat down. khan will be good preparation for that though. he's fast and very long like floyd.

Pac early and Floyd late......if Floyd survives the shock and awe phase of the fight, then he'll win it late by stoppage or UD.......if shock and awe is too much, then Floyd gets his ass whooped and the board will go nuts!! ......if Floyd can crack Manny's punch code without gettin' hammered......then Manny will get his ass whooped and the board will be infested with hate!! .......may the best man win......I'm in the neutral corner on this one

Let's ask you -- how would you prepare for Pacquiao?

I'm a pacfan bigtime but I am not going to say pac will eat mayweather alive and vice versa. that's just naive! both men have great skills, contrasting as they may be but they are special skills nevertheless

I'm just curious to find out if roach has a masterplan to penetrate floyd's defense and if manny has the skills, courage, power and determination to execute them...

if they can then I'm very happy. if not, then props to floyd!

win or lose, manny has nothing more to prove. accepting the fight against someone who does not only have the size and reach advantage but one of the best boxers in this generation, he already has my respect!

              can't wait for march 13

One thing I never figured out in the most recent Manny fights is why didn't anyone impose his size "the old way" yanking pulling leaning on him etc... Did they all seriously think "me big, me KO little Pacman?" That could be a good backup plan for Mayweather: fight à la Hopkins.

I think this fight will be good because it will change through the fight
i think hatton had the right gameplan tbh. even though he got ktfo , he did what was best for him to do (except he should have kept his hands up)

i think cotto would have had a good chance at beating manny if he rushed pac from the beginning.

yes pac is dangerous and could have koed cotto early but it would have given cotto the best chance to win.

remember how his jab shook pac up in the 1st round. pac was not use to getting hit and the power was a shock to him.

eventually he got use to the power but in the beginning it was a shock especially since he hadn't been hit since jmm2.

if cotto just rushed and didn't give time to adjust he might have gotten pac hurt early. (after the 1st , pac was just timing cotto's jab. everytime cotto threw it he was eating a right hook and left. he was trading jabs for pac's left. not good.)

that's what most boxing experts are asking. who can you spar with that can best mimic pacman's awkward style. his moves are unique to him.
