I was referrin to you guys, not the man himself.

Given your post history, the reference to your boy is inherently inferred; fighters who take on all comers and go all out by style end up shot, hence they shouldn't do that.

This thread has nothing to do with Floyd............

I mentioned Calzaghe whos 36.........JMM who is also 36............Shane who is 38........and Hopkins whos 45.....

These are fighters who are not shot and took tough fights...but their chin kept them from being Vargas, Taylor and Cotto.

So the point of the thread is if a fighter has bad defense..and a ?? chin is it smart or responsible to match him up with hard hitting killers in bac to back fights.

Vargas had a damn good chin. It ain't gotta be a **** chin to get KO'd by Felix. After that fight, which I agree he was rushed into, he wasn't the same.

Taylor had an ok chin, he just went to war wit Pavlik which was a mistake. As I mentioned in my 1st rant he was more hurt mentally than physically.

Cotto I agree had a shaky chin. But he never got brutally beat up til Marg. And as I also pointed out already, lil Pac wasn't supposed to whomp him like that.

I see the point you makin. You coulda picked better examples I guess is what I'm sayin.

Well he never took tough fights...I used him as en example because he looked pretty fresh for a 36 year old...and Vargas who was 28...was shot.

I'm probably the only person who disagrees with the whole shot theory. I actually want to discuss this on horus show because I want to hear live feedback.

You gotta remember that those guy like LaMotta, Dempsey etc all took worse beating than these guys, fought more frequently, used lighter gloves, went 15 rounds, and a went through a whole lot more physically demanding stuff than guys today.

Guys I considers shot are Rid**** Bowe etc...guys who are just mental damaged and slurring and ****. All those guys mentioned above just either lost the desire to be great, stop working hard, or just refused to dig down and make the necessary adjustments it takes to correct the reason why they got knocked out.

Again I can go on and on but Ima call in one day and discuss this.
