Morales shamefully quit in his third fight with Pacquiao - "no papi,me no want no more".

Like I already stated,Morales has no case here.I would rate Marquez above the overrated Erik Morales too.

Marcy>>>>>>>Eril and it's not even close.

you can't watch that fight and say he quit.

he tried his best and he fought bravely.

so what if he didn't get up? he already did twice that fight.

you could make more of a case for barrera quitting in the pacquiao rematch than morales in the 3rd.

i think marquez is up there with them and skill but his resume is somewhat behind barrera and morales.

the only thing marquez was better at than barrera and morales was that he was able to be more effective at an older age. that's because of his style and the fights he were in.

I agree with this. It's also a nice breakdown of their careers.

I would never defend Marcy for his shameful effort against Pacquiao in the rematch for his "No Mas" against Amir Khan, but don't try and pain Morales out to be a warrior because he isn't.Erik Morales wasn't hurt,he looked over to his father and shook his head and pulled a "No Mas".

i think there are times when a boxer can/should quit to be honest.

if a guy goes out and tries to win the fight but he can't and he's taken a lot of punishment. no shame in quitting.

like arguello against pryor or kostya against hatton for example.

now if a guy doesn't try to win a fight and just in there trying to survive , i find it worse than quitting even if they make it to the final bell.

Based on what? Avoiding Marquez? Getting his backside handed to him by the better fighter in Barrera?

                  Try again, dolt.

                    this is true.

                    just gotta say:

Manny Pacquiao > Erik Morales > Juan Manuel Marquez > Marco Antonio Barrera
