I liked Ortiz. Hope he bounces back but I really don't think he has the heart to be a champion. For those who say heart isn't a factor in boxing this is a prime example that it is.

As opposed to Amir Khan who got KTFO in the 1st round and got back in the gym the next day and is now a world champ.

Khan still gets way more hate than Ortiz though.
Khan won't fight Marcos Maidana though

Guys we touched this topic last night on the 'GET YOUR FACTS STRIGHT" talk show. I had a blog about it back when it happened and I don't feel much too different about it now. Check out the link below and let me know what you think....Lefty

the questions were asked..Should a fighter quit and when is it accepted?....Lefty

Isn't Ortiz smart enough to know those excuses about his brother and sister sound ******? I guess he's not smart enough to realize that. He should have stuck with his original excuse that he fought the wrong fight after he put Maidana down early. That's understandable from a young fighter. But to go back and change it makes you a liar. I wish him the best but his future doesn't look too bright.
