And You Champ you have the nerve to comment on Ortiz when you're savior Cotto did the same thing against Margarito... I would never condeem Cotto or Ortiz those guys were beaten to a pulp for throwing in the towel... You little cowards on this board would never step in a ring in your lives and you sit behind your keyboard and condeem Ortiz calling him a "quitter"... FOH idiot
I see what your saying but he was winning the fight and quit because he was taking damage. Broken hands and cuts happen in this sport and you have to be able to react. He's not a lesser man but you have to have the toughness to persevere through those types of fights if they come along and they inevitably do.

As opposed to Amir Khan who got KTFO in the 1st round and got back in the gym the next day and is now a world champ.

Khan still gets way more hate than Ortiz though.
And how do you know he didn't go in the next day and started training?Just because he didn't say it in the interview??People ****ing marinate that ****ing interview so much it ain't even funny!!!

Look, people react different to situations.....like he said he made those comments about not being sure if he wanted to fight because he was ****ing emotional....he is fighting on Saturday isn't he??So any accusation of him not wanting to fight anymore should be thrown out the window!!!he is taking the right steps to come back and move on to great things...the guy he is fighting this weekend is a former champ and a really though fight for anyone and all you guys do is bash on him???!!!

And are you guys forgetting that this Maidana guy is a though fighter in his own right with all but one of his fights ending in KO?And guess what....Ortiz floored him 3 times!!!Yes, he did not perform as expected but he is young....why shouldn't we give him a chance like so many others have had??

I just think you guys hate on fighters for the sake of just hating or maybe something else but he does not deserve all this hate.....why not hate on Campbell too...the ****er deliberately attempted to get out of a fight in order to ensure he didn't get a loss and I don't see him being hated on......what about Malignaggi???The guy is certified ***** and you guys praise him??!!Vasquez quit in his first fight and guess what....he came back and stopped Marquez!!!

And no, Khann does not get more hate....and he's running from Maidana like a *****......everyone just seems to hate Ortiz like he cheated or some ****t like that!!!

Until proven otherwise, he is labeled a quitter in my eyes, when the going got tough, he quit..

I'm willing to give the kid a break. He is just a kid. Maybe he smartens up, sticks to his game plan, and gives fans more exciting fights in the future. He was kinda coasting before, now he has something to prove.

If he doesn't come back better, then it's a shame, but that's life.
