Pac is a higher ATG because he beat better people than PBF and more better than PBF did it, ie hatton and dlh.

PBF gets no credit for beating Hatton and DLH before Pac. Because people beat DLH before PBF did. People beat Baldomir before PBF did.

Are you not going to give SRL any credit for beating Hagler because someone beat hagler before SRL? The person to give Hagler his first defeat gets all the credit does he?

people dont go easy on the modern era guys, its like the oldies are indestructable. an example is, Pacquiao, Vitali, Mayweather. they could very well beat A LOT of the ATGs.

remember what manny steward was saying on the pac/cotto broadcast, how pac is up there with the ray robinson's and ali's...as of right now, i don't think so, but if he was to beat mayweather and retire for good, would anyone put Pacquiao above those two on their lists?

It's hard to say I guess I'd have to go back and watch all of their fights to come to a conclusion on that. Steward for some reason has always praised any fighter that wan't black and always had something negative to say about blacks. Just my opinion on Steward.

Pac is definitely a historic figure though.

Yes, no one could possible do what he has done so far. Just impressive, but Mayweather probably is going to win, Pacquiao is a Warrior, Warriors make Floyd look good.

I don't see Pacquiao really trying to box, that's what will make him fail.

pacquiao won't even make my top 50......i have never seen a more cherry picked resume by a promoter in all my life....bob arum has given pacquiao the easiest fights in every weight division going up....and pacman doesn't deserve credit for beating morales, barrera, de la hoya.......who were all past prime......did Larry Holmes take credit for beating Muhammad Ali??? did Muhammad Ali take credit for beating Archie Moore???? NO...Ali takes credit for beating Foreman, Frazier, Liston, Patterson, Norton etc....Fighters who are considered the best at his time...Not washed up greats....what i say is the truth....if you have a comeback i want to see some facts and real arguments to back up your claims...cause pacquiao doesn't deserve credit for those wins

i like both pac and mayweather



but i do find it funny that, on one hand, there are twenty threads posted here a day discrediting and attacking mayweather, while at the same token, a lot is being spoken with regards to pac becoming one of, if not the greatest of all time by virtue of beating mayweather. seems rather su****ious to me.



one thing is clear in my mind, whoever wins will really have to fight mosely to be considered the best in the division. that is, if (more like when) mosely defeats berto.

Fair enough. But answer me this please.....How was Oscar ended by a SD? If this was the case the Tito fight should have ruined him years ago. Second....If Hatton was ruined (even after having to come up to 147 after he had stated it wasn't his best weight) how did he beat Malignaggi, who is and was considered one of the top fighters at 140? One defeat rarely ruins a fighters career my friend. Especially when they aren't particularly brutal.
