You're absolutely right. They didn't have to promote the hell out of it.

        BUT...

How much more would the fight have generated if they both shed their personalities temporarily, if only to make it that much more fun to watch.

If their cut also included a percentage of PPV sales, wouldn't have they stood a chance to make much more?

yes thats right floyd always does much work outside the ring be cause he needs to not because people want him to. he needs to go out and convince people to watch everytime he fights, because the last time always gave the audience the feeling of being shortchanged. he needs to hype his fights everytime that its becoming already like a scam. he always needed people to be convinced to open their wallets and get their moneys worth in return but unfortunately ended up feeling robbed.

now, dont tell manny is not working to promote their fight because i can tell you its a lie. manny already worked in his fights in progression to promote his upcoming fights. manny need not go out and trash talk anyone to convince me that ill get my moneys worth when i watched him because i already did and it comes to the point that all manny do is to say when hell fight and ill watch because im very sure that he will work his butth out in the ring to make sure that he is giving me back the same worth i spent for it.

Exactly, can you imagine if both of them would have done shows and been on network tv, talking, doing commercials and what not. Like Hearns/Leonard, Hagler/Leonard. We all know the fight will sell but it would do much more if Pacquiao came along for the promotion. Floyd/Oscar wouldnt have been the biggest fight in boxing had Floyd not promoted so hard.
