thats why Manny sold 1.2 million fights without being on WWE, and without Dela hoya. Whatever his name is... cant say the same

he has a built in fanbase, hes expanded quite a bit in the last year, but the thing is, when you have a built in ethnic fanbase, you dont have to do with floyd does to draw attention.

basically, go on a hot win streak, throw up the flag of whatever country youre from and eventually youll get a following.

It stands to reason that if both fighters will benefit from a percentage of PPV sales in addition to their guaranteed pays, then it would make sense for them to promote the hell out of the event as if it were their last.

In Oscars case, he had an already established revenue generating power and huge fan base, so his salesmanship was simply to show up and be The Golden Boy.

Sounds like alot of work just to get some attention for a fight. Manny doesn't do any of that, hmm...

Oscar did nothing to promote the fight with Mayweather. Pacquaio will do the same.

PPV kings don't need to do anything to sell a fight except get in the ring.

Pac-Cotto did 1.2 what did they do to promote the hell out of it? When Has Floyd done 1.2 without Oscar? Everybody wants to see this fight everybody is talking about. Really this fight don't need that promotions. Pacquiao-Mayweather, Mayweather-Pacquiao. That is all that needs to be said.

Who was it that headlined Time Magazine and recently the NY times which hadn't had an article on Boxing in a long time? I forgot his name...
