martinez is belt holder at 154 and pavlik, ring magazine's champ at 160, has ducked p dub twice. The problem is he isn't a draw and people can duck him and use that as an excuse. Paul is gonna try to get some of arreola's fans tonight, get on a big card and get that name he is wanting. Let's face it... P-Will will never get a shot and I tell you why...

First, whenever he had a chance to make an impact to get known in bouts against Margarito and Winky he won that fights but never did anything outstanding in these bouts to get some attention. For example being the first who knocks these guys out.

For somebody from the outside looking in he's just a very, very tall guy... throwing 100 punches non stop (from which are only 10 or 15 with bad intentions) against opponents who are way smaller then him. He ain't got that Hearns right hand that ppl fell in love with... he simply has nothing special. As soon as he moves up he will find some worthier challenges.

I really don't know why somebody should call him the best WW... if ppl cry about other resumes what has he done at WW? Beat Margarito and that's it. Only because nobody wants to fight him it doesn't mean he's the best. Nobody wanted to fight Margarito too, but he finally got his shot at big time, did what you should do... and afterwards I don't think anybody can say he was short of opponents... as soon as P-Will brings something to the table... there will be enough guys willing to fight him... but I doubt that he ever will bring anything to the table at 147. 154 or probably even MW... but not as WW.

U my friend are nuts!!The Punisher beat Margarito when he was almost unbeatable,then he gave Winky the worst beating of his career,worst!!Nobody ever shut Winky out,not even B-Hop,when Winky was fat!!The Punisher does fight anyone willing to fight!!Fight fan are disgusting!!Most fight fans adore the superstars,who really pick & choose their opponents!!

I'm not sure why he didn't want to fight Martinez at 154 for the belt. Maybe there wasn't enough time before the fight to cut back down, or maybe he just felt comfortable staying at at 160 for this fight. But he needs to start getting belts at 154/160/168.

I think he wanted that bargaining chip to be able to say I beat the current champ at 154, the 147 belt should have been mine since cotto turned down mandatory contest and now I'm comin after 160 he wants to prove he has dominance over all three weights concurrently, problem is he doesn't have enough high profile bouts to back up that claim

paul aint getting none of arreola's fans cuz the fight is in jersey. this is new territory for both fighters.

If Williams plays his cards right and wins tonight over Martinez and gets a fight with Pavlik early next year and wins Pavlik's middleweight crown, I think Williams has the chance to be one of the most feared middleweights ever.

But he really needs some sort of notoriety in order to get the fame he wants. The belts will give him that.

I dont know how some of you call Williams ordinary or unexciting. Williams comes out to fight and doesnt run around like that coward Dawson. Williams will throw and trade punches all night long. Watch the Margarito fight - that fight was amazing.

I think if Williams wins this fight, the best thing he can do is go back to 154 and fight Dzinziruk like a couple posters mentioned earlier. But in no way he is afraid of Sergei D.

I actually don't think Williams should fight that guy to be honest now that I have thought about it again. That fight will do nothing financially over here and the only way that Williams should go over there is if he knows he can get a fair ref and fair judges. It's too bad that Kirkland got locked up because he expressed interest in fighting Paul and he had become a staple on HBO. I know Williams turned him down at first, but he probably would've eventually fought him after a while.
