If we had Louis, Marciano, Dempsey, Ali, Lewis, etc. then he would not even be top 10 heavyweight

He is good compared to todays heavyweights but dont forget his size...It's like a light heavyweight fighting a lightweight....
So if he were just a little shorter, he is not all that big..

For sure...if height were all that mattered, with Lennox gone he'd be the king for sure!

I think he would avenge both of his losses if he had the chance. Well at least the Byrd one. THe Lewis on, who knows, that depends on Lewis. If he just waited for Byrd to come to him and just pop him with a jab as byrd comes in, he woudl beat him easily. Although byrd isn't going to try to come in on him. I take that back. If Vitali did that, it would be one of the most boring fights in history. Both of them jsut standing there looking at each other and waiting.

Avenge both his losses? He would LOVE to... but Lenox retired! and Byrd is hiding from his little brother!

Lewis should have retired after beating Tyson. Look at how effective Ali was after 36. Joe Louis after 36.

Vitali had his chance at an older, inactive, not int top shape Lewis, and he couldn't cash in.

As for Byrd, Byrd was and still is available, but Vitali is (for some reason) fighting John Ruiz's leftovers.

Now that makes sense to me! Lennox didnt retire to avoid Vitali..not by a long shot!
