He's a grown man he can continue to fight if he wants. So if he doesn't want to retire yet so be it.

Even though there would be no point for Hopkins to get a win over Roy, if it's not on PPV I will watch it. If it's on PPV I will find a stream or DL afterwards.

About the stoppage I thought it was fair. But it depends on the ref. Sometimes we ***** about the ref failing to stop it, sometimes we ***** about it being stopped too early. I've seen guys in worse off condition continue. But that's irrelevant, the ref saw it to stop the fight, its his job and he did it.

Give it up Roy. If you can't take a shot to the side of the head you shouldn't be in the ring period. Roy knew Green had power so why he keep his hands down like that? Even with Trinidad he kept his hands up like how Winky Wright does it. This is the second time Roy got hit around the same spot and falls down like a tree both times. I know B-Hop and Roy just want a quick pay day but it's definitely going to be hard to sell since Roy didn't even try to fight back after he got dropped.

I'm certain if Roy made it out of the round he would have won the fight but the ref stole that chance from him.

Hopkins vs Jones II, set it up.
Not sure why you would've been certain that Roy would've won the fight, especially considering he was floored just over a minute into the fight.

I can see both points to be honest and the ref could've let it continue a bit longer but it wasn't a bad stoppage, not by todays standards.

Jones shouldn't be allowed to fight again. That shot he took wasn't much different than the one from Glen Johnson. It's over, Roy. I don't want to see an ESPN 30/30 special on you just because some commission in Florida will keep letting you fight in front of delusional hometown fans.

nah roy, its over let it go...roy could never grind his way out, he had to dictate the range and pace of a fight, but as the calzaghe fight showed he couldnt get down in the trenches and fight ugly... balls and all.

I thought Jones fought very well in the trenches. He certainly had to against grinders like Sosa and Gonzalez.

Is it possible Ali could have got stopped while doing his rope a dope? Some boxers use the tactic of letting their opponents wear themselves out by letting their opponent attack while they sit back.

So im a bit confused. Yes RJJ was hurt but thats boxing. Doesnt mean you cant think about riding a storm for a while. RJJ was defending himself. Having your arms up is a boxing move isnt it, and you need clear senses to do it dont you? Defend yourself at all times.

Ali wasn't just laying against the ropes taking a beating he was fighting back as well. If you are hurt and not throwing punches then the ref will stop the fight see McCallum Jackson.
