I hate to say this, (and im a puerto rican)... but, "Cotto Retire!"
Everyone of your fans, is tired of falling for the hype that your Great... your not great just good! Very unfortunate that our PR Boxers never are willing to take there skill to the next level, always trying to keep the training in the family. Cotto your done! You lack something now-a-days and your seriousness is starting to make me sick!

Speak for yourself. I'm a fan and I think Cotto is a great fighter. I'm not saying he's an all time great, but his heart, courage and willingness to take on the best in boxings deepest division prove to me that he strived to be great and, win or lose, I respect the man for that. What PR boxers are you refering to exactly? Puerto Rico has produced more champions per capita than any other country. Not bad for a tiny little island. You should be proud of the fight culture that exist in PR rather than throwing out blanket statements veiled as sound criticism. You obviously have no knowledge of your own peoples fight history. I would be proud as hell to come from an island steeped in boxing tradition.

Damn Papa, get into the library and research your history. U r most def entitled to your opinion about Cotto but don't make such an asinine statement about the rest of our champions.
How come no one is mentioning a rematch with Margarito? I don't wanna see Miguel retire. He's had too many good wins in the last few years. He just went up against one guy who had loaded gloves and another who is a freak of nature. If he does have to retire, the fight he needs to go out on is the rematch with Margarito. The hype for a farewell fight vs. the man who possibly ruined him would be epic. Imagine that fight at Madison Square Garden? Goosebumps just thinking about being at something like that.
Margarito rematch/farewell fight at Madison Square Garden would be CRAZY.
