Cotto has been through some wars. but i dont think hes done yet. he lost to cheater in margarito. and he lost to the better fighter in pacquiao. what he needs is a new trainer! get rid of his pal santiago and put him back at fitness trainer where he belongs. either way it's his decision. if he wants these next two fights to be his swan song, i say get steward, richardson, berestain, or even roach they should be able to get him back in championship form.

I have been hoping for a Cotto / Mayweather fight for years. I doubt Cotto could deal with the speed and defense of PBF but, it would still be an all-time great.

Exactly. He needs to bring back the mentality he had before. He has become too much of a finesse fighter and it's not working. Seems like he cares too much...lol I also agree it's not over EVERY good/great fighter loses if he fights the best out there. Mosley, jones, hopkins, tyson, leonard, hagler, etc, etc, etc. He beat a very good mosley and if mosley beats berto or vice versa, i see a cotto vs Berto/Mosley fight and that can get him a legit belt. He needs a trainer who will break his B**ls and that might mean his uncle again. If not then nacho or roach.

Whether he lost to mosley or not, he still fought 2 top welterweights and that has to count for something.

If he is for real, it's been a good run. I enjoyed watching all of Cotto's fights. He always fought the best.

Good to hear though. He's fought the best and its good that he will retire without too much damage

He will always be one of my favorite boxers
