Arum better work his magic when he arrives. Pac making us wait till late 2010 would suck bad plus the innactivity would not be in his favor. Im sure pac would take another tune up to have an edge.

Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Wants Mayweather Fight Pushed Further Back?

I'm not Mayweather's biggest fan, but if he wussed out like this, there would be a hundred threads about it already. Just last week Roach, said that Pac wanted to fight in March, while Mayweather wanted it in later, remember? So, it looks like Mayweather agreed to March and now all of a sudden Pac doesn't want the fight. LOL, if true.

some people, stratch that, most people here are delusional if they want the fight that soon.. man, make that **** an event.. a fight needs 6 months in advance to properly promote it..

We don't know what kind of terms Mayweather accepted the fight under. But what we do know is Pacquiao stalling the fight in a ridiculous way. I'd believe his ear was that bad if Freddie Roach didn't talk that **** about him fighting Yuri Foreman on March 3rd. But like everyone else is saying, now that Floyd is saying he's willing to get it on, Pac Man is scooting in another direction it seems like. I'm not a Floyd fan either by the way.

It appears that clearly Freddie nor Manny want this fight.
I have a feeling it's not happening due the steroid accusations that went around.
It hurt Floyd's side, if you can call it that, for making unfounded accusations.
They should just move on and let it be.
No need to haggle back and forth if the fight will not be made.

DLH was past it BUT that's not Manny's fault and again I'm not faulting him for that at all... everybody wanted DLH and it wasn't because he was the best... so I don't blame him at all... and even if somebody is past their prime you still need someone to beat it out of him... I give Pacquiao probs for that... and if I wouldn't respect him I wouldn't have said he is an all-time great IMO... and it sure isn't ONLY because he beat Cotto... I give him credit where credit is needed
BUT
you said and that was the thing that I tried to explain to you... he always fights the best... and that's simply not true... he always probably fought a bigger man but they weren't the best. This is simply what drives me crazy about it... that ppl always come up with he's fighting the best... he ain't... same goes out to Floyd...
He wanted to fight Hatton for a long time. Hatton ain't wanted no part dude... Hatton also fought at 147... it's clearly not his weight but he wasn't moving up into something complete new.
Marquez was the best at 135... he pretty much established it in two fights. He moved up two weight classes... it's a thing that Manny did, Mosley did it before... all in one fight... he now compaigns at 140. Of course you can make an argument about 147 is too much for him... but hey... the only thing that I'm mad about this fight is that May ain't made weight... that's unprofessional... and he not even apologized for it...
And again... I'm not bashing Pacquiao's record or anything but he ain't did something way more special then Mayweather did. And Pacquiao once was a Flyweight as he was very, very young... but as soon as he had real boxing training in the US... he pretty much was a real featherweight... even struggled to make weight sometimes... so what he did because of his body size and short arms against giants is really a great achievement... but he definitely ain't fought the best all the time. And that's ok... because nobody does actually... I could talk about others here as well... but like stated you have to be honest...
In the end I get what you mean and that's why I say until now... Floyd has all-time great skill and Pacquiao is an all-time great this is a difference and you should know through that that I see many things the same like you do... and yes, you can actually like May and Pacquiao... it's possible *lol*

I'm disappointed in pac's team. they tried to pull something to make floyd look bad and it seemingly backfired. I think he would be foolish to fight floyd in march but for roach to come out and say pac wants it in march and early as possible while floyd wants more time is just underhanded and un-ethical. I personally don't think floyd or pac want this fight in march for different reasons but roach tried to spin it another way. This fight should be happening in may though pac is 30 years old he has plenty of time to go into politics. Being a politician isn't the only way to help the poor in his country if that is his reason for doing so.

I'm not advocating the fight being put off or even pushed back whatsoever...
BUT..
You have to be an idiot to think that Manny is dodging or ducking or doing anything to try to avoid this fight in any way.
Its obvious that the fight is playing second fiddle to his career in the political sector of his beloved country.
Personally, I think that he should focus on one thing until his boxing career is over, but he's his own man...ugh.Wake up Manny!
