Speaking of future moves in boxing, I was thinking of possible scenarios here...

IF Berto beats Mosley and IF Floyd decided not to fight either, then who would be Floyds next choice or would he be still fighting? Or he will retire permanently?
Well look at it from this angle. Mayweather's confidence is going to be sky high if he does beat Manny.

I think Berto will upset things i really do. Mosley's only shot at beating Berto is by KO imo, which is possible because Berto has been down against lesser hitters.

Id hazard a guess at someone like Cotto if Cotto looks a bit ropey in 1/2 fights after the Manny fight.

Considering it, and assuming Berto did beat Mosley. And you assume that Floyd will still fight Shane. If this scenario happens, and IF Floyd loss to Shane, what then?

Berto will be left to Marg, Cotto & Clottey, Floyd will not fight Berto, IMO.

I honestly dont think its enough of a possibility that Shane will beat Floyd, unless Pacquiao destroys him and takes a piece of him in the fight, which i cant see happening.

Mayweather is 32 now. Pac fight wont happen till..........March is it? i expect a Mosley vs Mayweather fight before any possible Williams fight so how old is Mayweather gonna be when he fights Williams. Mayweather wont be an old!! man by then but me myself i would want to take Williams on when im as close to prime as possible tbh.

Not that i would not like to see him fight Williams

PS.................im really starting to think Berto will beat Shane.
Shane will lose if he looks the way he did against mayorga. It doesnt look like Pac and Floyd are fighting anytime soon so Floyd may look at the Shane option a little harder. No one is running to get in the ring with Williams but there are situations i can see going down to make it happen. I will be at the fight this weekend to get a closer look at Williams against a quality fighter. He may force himself into the picture against some good fighters. At least i hope he does.

He (Williams)might look too good for his own good if you get my drift.

Who you got? i think Williams should have too much for Martinez, although i expect Martinez speed to cause some early problems.

So we're stuck on IF Berto beats Shane; Floyd will still fight Shane.

And Pac has only a punchers chance against Floyd.

Still Berto will be left against Marg, Cotto, Clottey and/or PWill (if possible)

                Here you go.

Your argument holds no water because you just tried to distort the reason why i said he wont get props.

Props means "proper respect" not that he wont get any!! for winning.

Forget all the other BS you are trying to push as my irrationally hating on Mayweather.

These are facts and they are commonsense to anyone with a brain.

If you have 5/6 fights against top caliber opposition in your!! own weight division(147) you have more chance of coming unstuck than what you do waiting for a guy to establish himself as "the best" then coming along and winning a head to head and trying to make out you are a greater fighter legacy wise because you beat him in a one off fight head to head.

sounds more like your making up excuses for manny before the fight has even happened,i see where your coming i just dont agree with, alot of people are way too harsh on pbf,hes fought some great fighters and so has manny, manny oppenents latley have been better but you can argue with both of there matchups in the last few years, people still dis manny for fighting a washed up oscar and hand picked cotto,im not one of those,i think manny is great and thats why if pbf beats him makes him even greater and goes higher up in my rankings, simply as that nothing personal i see your point and disagree with it

Williams throwing 100 punches a round will be tough to overcome but your right about the speed making it interesting early

If you have 5 fights against top caliber fighters you have a greater chance of coming across a style nightmare, if you fight a guy who established himself as the best and beat him in a one of fight that does not do a lot for me.
