I worry that Pac will have too much on his plate, possibly one of the biggest WW fights ever and he'll be in the process of trying to get a political career/campaign off the ground whilst training? Doesn't seem ideal.

Before you post the top five excuses when Pac loses, you should post the top five excuses for Manny not taking the fight because I still believe that Manny and Freddy Roach did not/does not want to fight Mayweather.

My choice for the number 1 excuse: March is too soon! It wasn't a few days ago when Freddie Roach thought Mayweather would turn it down, but now they will say Manny won't have enough time to prepare for the fight or some other bull**** excuse.

they lobbied to have the fight in march instead of may to accomodate running in the election. you obviously have no clue about manny's popularity in the philippines. he is a practically a demigod over there. he's more popular now than he's ever been. manny is just like anyone else, he's trying to maximize his earning power while he still has the ability, i don't think his political aspirations will get in the way of his boxing career, not while he still has the potential to make another $50-100mil until the end of his career. the only way a loss would lessen his popularity is if he loses in demoralizing fashion, ala marquez. mayweather never looks for the knockout, so i don't see him getting a KO unless he lands a REALLY clean hard punch right on the button. if he didn't do it against marquez he won't do it against pacquiao. will he outbox manny? there's a definite chance of that. but manny will definitely put more pressure and speed on him than marquez or hatton could muster.

and thats point. Mayweather will demorilize Manny to a point where he will be ashamed to go out for coffee in Manilla, let alone run for public office. how would you like your candidate to be campaigning with a bruised face, a black eye, and a bruised ego???? I love manny, but i thinkg Floyd will school him and Manny knows that and will do the smart thing for himself and not take the fight... before I posted this I saw another thread, claiming Manny wants the floyd pushed back...

i would be shocked if this fight doesnt get signed in the next few days. Arum will convince Manny how much this makes sense not only for his career but eventually money wise for his political campaign. manny also cares about giving the people what they want and he knows people will turn on him if he doesnt take this fight!
