How the hell is March too soon (as suggested by some). That's FIVE months from Manny's last fight. Five months used to be a long layoff.

The reason Manny wants the fight in early March is obviously because of the election. It would be perfect timing if he wins the fight and carry a momentum for his election. I don't think he needs it, but he did lose his last election in his own hometown. Please let this be true and hopefully Manny agrees with whatever they presented to Arum. Knowing Arum how he adores his cash cow, whatever the deal is i'm sure Arum is quite positive and happy that Manny will be happy with it and accept the deal.

What's a little surprising to me is the month, but this should sell a lot regardless. Usually the big PPV months are May (Cinco De Mayo), June, September (Mexican Independence Day), and November (sometimes December). March has had some big PPVs, with Tyson, who sold anytime of the year.
With neither of them being Mexican, I'm not sure about the importance of having it in the first weekend of May.

J.L. Castillo took part in one of the greatest and most brutal fights just two months after his last bout. If Pacquiao starts his training camp at the beginning of the year, he'll still have a 9 to 10 week camp. He should be fine.
