Yes Ward beat Kessler but what he did before that? Bute had been 191 days on the list and Ward 29 days. i think giving Bute the #1 spot was the right thing to do.

hmmm I like Bute a lot and have been throwing his name out there for a while now, but #1? I dont know about that.

correct me if Im wrong, but wasnt Kessler the #1 Super Middleweight since Calzaghe left in their rankings? seeing as Ward just dominated the #1 guy, youd think that hed be #1...

At least he has ties with HBO who's married to GBP. The Ring rankings should always be under the microscope after GBP bought them. These rankings are a slap in the face on HBO's biggest rival Showtime and their expensive investment in super-six.

That being said I think a fair argument can be made for Bute, Ward or Froch as the no. 1 guy.

imo until the super6 tourney is completed all the rankings are up in the air.

right now bute looks the best of SMW fighters who aren't in the tourney, thats for sure. but to say that he should be ranked higher than froch and kess is open to dispute.
