I think Ward should be number 1.
He KO a guy with a monster chin. That is why IMO he should be number #1. Ward is my #2.

So true, Bute beat a top 10 contender(again) without speed, skill, defense and remember the first fight... and gets #1
Ward dominates #1 and gets #2

So great he got wobbled and knocked down by Yusaf "Top15" Mack.
You can take an amount of punches to the chin, than you lose it.
      That was the case.

If Tua knocks out 300 pound iron chinned James Toney he is also #1 ?

I must be in the minority who thinks this is a terrible decision and I usually agree with The Ring. Andrade is and always will be a B grade fighter and beating him is something that a top quality fighter like Bute should do. No doubt that Bute beat Andrade in an impressive fashion, but that doesn't change a lot. Bute's best victories are over Andrade, Bika and Zuniga - a decent selection of opponents but no more. They are not better for example than Pascal, Taylor or Dirrell (Froch's last three opponents). Nor are they better than Andrade, Beyer or Mundine (Kessler's best three victories). Nor are they better than Miranda, Williams or Kessler (Ward's best three victories). Bute is a great fighter and he might be the best Super Middleweight out there, but he hasn't proved it yet.

        1. Ward
        2. Froch
        3. Kessler
        4. Bute
        5. Abraham

ward got #2 because he has so many upcoming bouts where he can prove himself being that he can be viewed as somewhat green. Bute been here for years and proved impressive in what was a difficult fight last year. ward will probably get it after he beats taylor convincingly

I just don't understand that. Knocking out a guy, with a good chin who walks into punches, isn't that impressive to me. Andrade constantly walks into punches, he's eventually gonna get caught with something that hurts him. Bute had 16 rounds to get it done. Plus I remember seeing Andrade rocked against that Mack guy, it's not like he's unhurt-able. Max Kellerman was really overrating Andrade's chin even calling him a "punch absorbing freak."

A good win, but man I wouldn't bolt him to #1.

You got to look at the body of work and Bute been dominating for a while now and he beat Andrade (a top 10 SMW) more impressively than the former #1 SMW Kessler did.

How so? All he has done at SMW is beat Miranda and Taylor. It's based off accomplishment resume and then skill, Froch is garbage IMO but his resume is better than Abrahams at 168 Kesslers previous body of work are better than Abrahams wins are IMO.

kessler obviously isn't 3 after his thrashing and froch's latest performance was average at best. I think momentum factors into rankings as is noticed by kessler's drop. Unless bute gets and defeats super 6 level competition his nex few fights his stay will be brief
