It did less than 400k in the WW division. That has a history it has a cache. The only people who wanted to see that was Floyd and Zab fans. Who are pretty much the same people. Zab was coming off a loss to a fighter like Baldomir. How good of a win is that for Floyd really. Everybody who knows boxing. I don't care if they don't admitted but deep down they knew Floyd was going to win easily. Stylistically Zab mental aspect of the game to cause Floyd problems. People Floyd would frustrate Zab and take over.

Again that is different is apple and oranges. Cotto won a belt that Vacated Cotto didn't lose a fight and then kept the belt did he? Zab lost and kept the belt. 2 different circumstances bro.

Manny Pacquiao. he won a title that didint exist, then won the welterweight title without actually fighting there. cotto won his belt at 147. while 141-147 is considered welterweight, the fact is, there was a set limit of 145 for cotto, so whatever.

I know. I'm not criticizing that he fought Gatti, it was that time in his career when he needed that breakout PPV fight.

I was just correcting the Thread Starter's own logic. If he doesn't count the IBF belt Floyd won off of Zab, then he probably shouldn't count the WBC belt Floyd won off of Gatti.

wtf kind of bull**** semantics is this? it did over 300k, thats ALWAYS respectable. people wanted to see it, the fact that it did over 300k proves that. the numbers arent astronomical, but its on par with everyone NOT NAMED De La Hoya for that time. nobody was doing major numbers in 2006 other than de la hoya. it was on par for the average that year. not that i care about arguing ppv numbers, or any of that crap, but its a decent win for floyd, if you are going to say otherwise, then go ahead.

But just as it was this astronomical win for cotto(in the eyes of so many), for pbf it was a decent measure of how he handled a guy who was bigger, faster and hit harder than him. if you cant see that then you are full of ****.

WBA is trash too, WBC trash, IBF trash, WBO trash. What makes them better than the IBO. IBO is not great but I respected more than the major 4. But, you IBO trash and the major 4 are trash.

The IBO doesnt exclude other titlists because its not big enough to ignore sanctioning fees from fighters holding other belts. i garuntee you that if they were a bigger org, theyd play the exact same game.
