I personally rate Benn above Eubank, although it's close and I wouldn't argue with anyone who disagreed. They had different strengths and weaknesses. Collins was a very good fighter but not quite as impressive in my opinion.

I think it's a shame that none of them have (as far as I know) been nominated for the Hall Of Fame. Considering that Ottke was put up for consideration, I feel that Benn and Eubank should be, as they fought in the same division yet beat better opposition.

I would pick them both to beat most of the Super Six. Benn's worst matchup would probably be Abraham, who could afford to fight Benn's fight and still have a good chance of winning due to his tight guard, good chin and heavy hands. Eubank was somewhat inconsistent and I find it harder to predict fantasy matchups involving him, but at his best I wouldn't bet against him vs any of them.

I always found Watson a much better boxer. So did Nigel.

Their 1989 fight in Finsbury Park showed that.

Watson was also robbed in his first fight against Eubank.

Michael Watson was always my pick of a brilliantly talented bunch, who between them created a truly golden era of British boxing, the like we’ve not seen since and would be blessed to see again.

Watson was a tremendous boxer, and what happened in the 2nd Eubank fight was a massive blow to boxing. Not only was Watson injured but Eubank was never the same fighter again.

I'd put them Eubank-Watson equal, Benn very close behind and Collins last, as all 3 of the top guys would have beaten him prime for prime.

He lost to Watson. He freely admits Watson was better.

I apprecaite you disagree, and that's fine.

Benn was more exciting, but not as good.

The best boxer of the bunch although not mentioned in the original thread was Watson. After Watson schooled Benn ,Benn rebuilt himself and came back a far better boxer. Benn was the most powerful puncher of the bunch,Eubank was the toughest the punishment he could take was unbelievable he had a fantastic chin. Colins was also very good but his fights with Benn and Eubank were when they were past their best. There is very little between them. If they were in the Super 6 comp the only fighter I can see who would be really tough for them is Abraham.
