    Chris Eubank/Nigel Benn/Steve Collins.

I'm a infrequent poster but an avid reader of these forums and i found out that people have very strong opinions about their fighters and they don't really see or wish to see anything that might sway their opinion.

I remember watching these 3 guys fight when i was younger but i was too young to appreciate boxing as i do now.

Can somebody give me their opinion about these fighters and how good they were in the world scene without any bull****.

    Thanks.

I think Collins was the best of the bunch .He did beat both them twice. They're 3 of the best supermiddleweights ever and Calzaghe.

Collins caught them both towards the end of their careers. Benn especially was done. Eubank was still a top fighter but mentally not there and Collins played on that with the whole hypnotism thing.

Eubank was (simply) the best out of the 3 I would say. He knocked out a prime Benn. Benn was a beast and wouldve been dangerous against anyone.

Micahel Watson mightve been better than all of them.

collins was lucky to catch them both at the end of their careers, alot of recent fight fans look on boxrec and assume that because he beat them both he was a better fighter than both. imo his resume punches above its weight, collins was a good fighter but imo hed have lost to benn and eubank and a young calz (who he ducked!!!).

in hindsight eubank was the best out of all three.

watson was the unlucky man in british boxing at the time and its a shame that the rivalry between eubank and benn meant he didn't deserve as much coverage as he should have.

how do you think watson would have done against a young calz or some of the amercans Dirk?

the whole Benn - Eubank thing was both genuine and epic, i have met Eubank and he's different animal away from the Camera and extremely respectfull towards Benn saying that he and Watson would have beaten Collins Prime for Prime (in fact that was the first time i had ever heard that phrase.)

I met him before the Calzaghe fight so i can't comment on that.

I think Nigel Benn was the best of them.

                he beat:

                Gerald McClellan
                Iran Barkley
                Doug Dewitt
                Robbie Sims
                Thulani Malinga

                thats pretty good.

Eubank and Benn where both alot better than Calzaghe(who btw is a total joke). Calz and Collins are on about the same level imo.

Prime Benn and Prime Eubank are better than Collins I think.

Calzaghe would do extremely well to go through both Prime Eubank and Prime Benn. That said I think Calzaghe is overall the better of all of them.
