[QUOTE=Hyde;6796314]I think Nigel Benn was the best of them.
he beat:
Gerald McClellan
Iran Barkley
Doug Dewitt
Robbie Sims
Thulani Malinga
Thats why I'd go for Benn as well as well as been robbed in the 2nd Eubank fight! you can only go on what a boxer accomplised, Micheal Watson didn't have much chance to accomplish what he could have, but saying that he had 2 defeats to Micheal McCallum and someone I never heard of, So I cant rate him as much as Benn, because we dont know how he would have gone on against the people above.Last edited by steeluv; 11-27-2009, 07:40 AM.Comment

Caught them at the ends of there Careers, Well Eubank is 2 years younger than Collins, and fought collins at 28 and 29 hardly old, so no there is no excuse and was the same age as Benn, but I think in Benns case he was 32 and he those tough battles had caught up with him, and he was declining, Where as Collins peaked at the end of his careerCollins caught them both towards the end of their careers. Benn especially was done. Eubank was still a top fighter but mentally not there and Collins played on that with the whole hypnotism thing.
Eubank was (simply) the best out of the 3 I would say. He knocked out a prime Benn. Benn was a beast and wouldve been dangerous against anyone.
Micahel Watson mightve been better than all of them.Comment

my order is
Collins
Benn
Eubank
But i dont have a problem with any other order there was so little between them. I put Eubank last soley because he got the benefit of the doubt from the judges on quite a few occasions.
Collins beat a very VERY game version of Eubank in their first fight. I dont read much into the Collins Benn fights though.
On skill alone Collins is probably last of the three, but his heart, guts, determination and chin made him the fighter he was.Comment

Eubank was the best and had a much better record than anyone gives him credit for, in 15 months he'd beaten Benn, Watson back-to-back followed by Malinga and stopped tall southpaw Stretch. Thornton and Giminez were extremely tough and strong, two of the toughest fighters out there. In 12 months he fought Holmes (former IBF champ), Benn (WBC) and Rocchigiani (former IBF, future WBC). This is incredible. Wharton and Collins, two extremely tough and strong guys. Calzaghe followed by Thompson back-to-back... it's immense.Comment
