Whilst Corrales was in jail, he lost all his built up muscle, and put on a lot of weight. He couldn't or didn't exercise. When he came out and began training again he was at about welterweight or more. After 2-3 fights, he actually came in at 128.5 lbs for a fight. But, as I say, he'd lost much of his musculature.
However as we well know, after a little while, making the lightweight limit, he couldn't even do that. Believe me when I say that Mayweather took terrible advantage of Corrales' desperation and lack of money at the lowest time in his life.
So I can never regard him as being anything but a common twister, a cheat, a fraud, anything but a great fighter, and inherently dishonest to both himself and his "fans".

We wouldn't be debating here if only Floyd seals that contract. His fans, stans and *****s here keeps saying he is so anxious to fight Pac but his body language says otherwise.
Pac has a big ego, i know he wouldn't accept less than 60% on the purse split but he agreed on a 50/50 immediately as PAC WANTS TO EXPOSE FLOYD. Now that's what you can call anxious but floyd, where is he?
Almost everyone says floyd got a great defensive skills, yes he looks great because of the opposition he's got because they don't have the power, stamina and relentness to penetrate it and the main reason why floyd avoids Cotto, Shane or Pac who he knows can dismantle his defense.
Floyd will never fight the elites. He's a fraud.

announced months before, that he'd given up the 130 lb division and he was going up in weight to either lightweight or Jr welter.
And you can't overlook T.K. Stewart's convincing and condemnatory article. And Larry Merchant........

Roy Jones Jr in his prime was on another level.. not losing any rounds for years. Floyd is no where near that.. he carefully picks his opponents, has a weak resume and has fought ZERO legends.
in the rematch has a questionable win against the same fighter. At least
Floyd gave Castillo a rematch and beat him soundly. No one ever talks
about that while Pac hasn't covincingly showed that he could beat JMM.
Pacquiao fought two of the same fighters Floyd fought? AND your saying
Floyd carefully picks opponents? Roach said Oscar was a winnable fight
once he said he knew Oscar couldn't pull the trigger and made the fight
at a weight Oscar couldn't handle anymore and your talking about Floyd
carefully picked? Listen man, the Boxing business is what it is a business
and if you say Floyd picked safe fights well so did Pac.
