    • LOL yea bro, its easy to get caught up in the hype, but still he just needs 2 more steps to get there in my book, especially since my brothahz in the sport haven't gotten a crack at him yet, so when they lose...then he will be up there with the greats from years past like ray leonard, ali.......but w/ cotto, we all knew what was gonna happen, but w/ someone like shane even roach said thats their most dangerous choice for an opponent....too bad by the time they make the fight he will be at retirements door but if he ko's shane i'll give him all due credit cause he has never been stopped in a fight, good chin, just knocked down w/ V forrest....i'm i wrong in thinkin this or are u all ready to hand him the coveted "greatest fighter of this era" title now?

"but if he ko's shane i'll give him all due credit"

Why Pacman would have to ko Shane to get credit??
        He hasn't done ebough??
Does he needs to KO a Klit brotha??

"especially since my brothahz in the sport haven't gotten a crack at him yet,"
        Who cares??
He fought in divisions where greatest fighters were latinos.
And please, don't bring me up Nate ****in Campbell who get koed twice by Robbie ****in Aussie Peden and cant make weight or I will end the debate.

The color of your opponents means nothing,it's ridiculous.

I give more credit to Pac figtin great or good latinos fighters than Klits fightin black heavyweight bums, shout out to Ray Austin,Kirk Johnson,Calvin Brock,Samuel Peter and Rahman.

Shane is really bigger,he don't have to beat him,Cotto, who beat Shane by the way was a mamouth task.

sheez, even pac moving up 3 weight division in less than a year twice in his career isnt even enough yet. (Flyweight - Super Bantamweight & Superfeatherweight - Welterweight)

Not enough for those who can't accept how great he is that is.

Floyd Mayweather fought DeLaHoya at 154lbs. Manny Pacquiao fought a Ricky Hatton that was already knocked out and plus he fought with his chin in the air. Floyd Mayweather fought an undefeated and Confident Ricky Hatton and knocked him out. Manny Pacquiao fought a Miguel Cotto was knocked out by Antonio Margarito; plus he was slow and unsure of himself which equals=No Confidence. Floyd Mayweather fought an undefeated Diego Corrales who was also a champion.

Manny Pacquiao moved up in weight and fought a very limited David Diaz and it still took him almost 12 rounds to knock him out. Floyd Mayweather moved up in weight and took on the best the division had to offer him; and won a decision over Jose Luis Castillo and gave him an immediate rematch and beat the brakes off of him. Manny Pacquiao knocked down Marquez 3 times in the first round, and still had a draw. Now that is really pathetic. He lost both fights against Marquez and would not fight him a third time.

So it seems to me that Manny is the real fraud. He ask for catchweight fights so his opponents come in drained and you want to say (wow, this guy is ****ing awesome) I would say: wow, this gay guy wants all of the advantages because he or his team doesn't have confidence in his ability. Enough with this BS catchweights; it's taking away from the opponents of Manny and he is not as good as you think he is, otherwise he would have gave Marquez a third fight after 2 tough fights. He would not ask for catchweight fights against and old DeLaHoya or an underconfidence Cotto. Enough with the hero attitude on Manny, he is more like a zero. Heros don't ask for this many advantages.
You cannot refer to the Corrales fight to prove Mayweather's "greatness".

Corrales had given up the division because he couldn't make the weight, At the same time he'd undergone a trial for wifebeating and had been sentenced to 2 years in jail. Also he was flat broke, on his way to jail, and needed money very badly.

Mayweather jumped on this, and when Corrales was interviewed a while before the fight, and was asked about getting down to 130, he sighed, shook his head and said very quietly,
"it isn't easy, but he made me an offer I couldn't refuse".

That was when, for the very first time, I began to like him.

The well known boxing scribe T.K.Stewart wrote that Corrales didn't make the weight first time, that he'd spent most of the previous day, and that morning in a sweatbox, that every bone in his body was visible and he had a very bad grey colour. Stewart said, even though Corrales was the favourite to win, as soon as he saw him, he knew he had no chance.

His trainer said that he couldn't get him to train, he was concentrating on fasting etc to get the weight down, and he couldn't drag him away from computer games, when he should have been training. [He was only going through the motions, to get the money].

Larry Merchant has said several times that as he was going past Corrales's dressing room, he saw him stuffing his mouth with a sandwich, just before the fight.

And we ALL know, or SHOULD know, that the Corrales we saw, who looked as if he was wading through waist high oil, was not the Corrales that everybody knew and expected to see.

In my opinion, the Corrales of this fight, whose best expectation after it, was to go to a two year jail sentence and who could hardly stand after the weigh-in, wasn't even 10% of his REAL boxing self.

On his merits and previous reputation, he was the betting favourite to win.

All he won, was enough money to pay off his lawyers, and still go to jail.

So, folks, don't quote the Corrales debacle as being any gain for Mayweather's "expertise", but rather for Mayweather's cunning, and craftiness, even dishonesty.

Mayweather castigated Corrales all during the fight leadup, by hounding him as a wife-beater, and actually had the chutzpah to dedicate the fight to "battered women".

Within a couple of weeks we learnt that Mayweather himself had been charged with beating his wife or girl friend of the time.................................hmmmmm!

              Mayweather...........................phfooey.

Wasn't Corrales fighting @ 1301b over 2 years after the FMJ fight? Yes it was dishonest of Floyd for taking a fight that he was clearly the underdog.. If we even give thought to your logic; how did FMJ know Corrales was going to come in over weight and wasn't training? See how ****** that sounds?

I would give Floyd the first five rounds, the rest will be Pacquiao's.

This was a lot worse than Klitschko's eye in the Lewis fight. Here, Vargas absolutely can't see and it must be painful, Klitschko could see very well, just had a tear over his eyebrow.
I believe a sort of "paper-cut" below his eye, at anyrate we all know now, that his vision was not impaired at all.

That's why Klitschko was so outraged at the stoppage.

Man that's the smartest thing any body has said on here. That's why PAC had so much trouble with Marquez. Marquez was a counter puncher and so is Floyd but Floyd is quicker and bigger than Marquez and I think will defeat manny. But floyd cannot try to brawl with PAC b/c that's when he's most effective. Just like when cotto tried to exchange with him and Marquez. Floyd must remain calm and counter punch manny
