I'm kinda glad Pacquiao didn't attend. These people just want to feel important.

I repeat. It's an award that you wouldn't even use as a paper weight.
This is almost the most ****** of the many remarks made on this subject. The Gusi award is well known, and for a Philipino, very prestigious. It is also a philantropic institution.

With Manny constantly, tirsomely, talking about how much he loves his country, and that he fights to represent the people etc.etc it is indeed strange that he didn;'t show up.

It seems as if the whole presentation plan was built around Manny's world class fame, {seating him in the centre etc.} which indeed does bring vicarious pride to the Phillipino nation.

      He should have shown up.......

The guy has no right to comment like that. Pac never ask to be awarded of his award. Pac doesn't need it anyway. He has too many already.
I tyhink that it was only inaugurated in 2003, so if you didn't live there, you'd probably miss the information. And, besides this, being a philantropic institution, it doesn't look for huge headlines every time anyone coughs.

The Nobel is purely for the categories in which it awards "winners". The rest of the year, although the Nobel is recognised and well known in the whole wide world, We only hear of it when the awards are looming.

The Gusi award was inaugurated only 5 years ago.

Since its Manny Pacquaio, you are making excuses for his behavior and criticizing the person who criticized him for not showing up. What a pile of ****!
Wow, that's completely different and you know it.

People got all over Floyd for not going on the George Lopez Show because supposedly he got angry when Lopez started asking him about Pacquiao.

lol at the *****s thinking this and Floyd bitching out from the Lopez show because of them asking about Pacquiao is the same thing.

One didn't show because he was busy, the other didn't show because he was a *****. Big difference.

Taking cheap shots is typical behavior of a loser who cannot counter your argument. Out of everything I said, you took one word, "overrated" and chose to make an issue out of it. My post was about the hypocrisy that exists between the dimwitted haters on this site, not about Pac being overrated. Clowns like you have been calling Mayweather overrated since you started following boxing six months ago. You have criticized him for everything except wearing the wrong color tie. Yet when Pacquaio is called out for his behavior, you ignore it and make an issue out of the word "overrated", when you and the other haters on this site have been saying much worse about Floyd.

I give credit where credit is due. Pacquaio has accomplished a lot of things in his career, but I am no more impressed by his victories over an over-the-hill De La Hoya and a past his prim Cotto than you and the others haters on this site are about Mayweather's accomplishments. I don't even know why I waste my time responding to ******s like you. However, I wll not waste that time in the future.

Yes, of course. Everything Pac does is okay or excusable, including promising to make an appearance and not showing up and cheating on his wife. Pacquaio is perfect and cannot be criticized under ANY circumstances and if you do criticize him, there is something wrong with you. The only thing different about this is the hypocrisy shown by the haters on this site.
