I also see from the report that Manny pulled out one of his "humble, and gratified" little megillahs.
I'd bet money that he has had a list of these comments and replies written out for him and he's practiced what to say. Until lately, Manny has never shown any of the verbal slickness that these answers imply and with his background would never even remotely think of using the words that he spills out at every 0opportunity.
Just give it up, man. I am Filipino, a professional living in Makati. Read the local papers. Nobody gives a **** about this. Nobody even mentioned this.

Clowns like you have been calling Mayweather overrated since you started following boxing six months ago. You have criticized him for everything except wearing the wrong color tie. Yet when Pacquaio is called out for his behavior, you ignore it and make an issue out of the word "overrated", when you and the other haters on this site have been saying much worse about Floyd.
I give credit where credit is due. Pacquaio has accomplished a lot of things in his career, but I am no more impressed by his victories over an over-the-hill De La Hoya and a past his prim Cotto than you and the others haters on this site are about Mayweather's accomplishments. I don't even know why I waste my time responding to ******s like you. However, I wll not waste that time in the future.

Just becasue someone decides to give Pac an award he's obligated to show up? the fact that Gusi would not allow Koncz to accept it on his behalf shows that it wasn't about giving him the award but about Gusi luring to an event to show off his association with Pac in front of all his old rich friends. This guy was embarrased because he promised his friends a star and he couldn't deliver. If I was Pac I'd issue a statement saying: 'Ambassador Gusi can suck my National Fist!"

I know it could have been different if it happened to the other awardees!
Undoubtedly Manny accepted and said he'd be there to receive his award. ZI've read that he also gave his stock speech, that he was "humbled" by the recognition etc. You know the usual shtick he comes out with evey time he's complimented.
So, Mr. Gusi was understandable annoyed when Manny didn't show, and with no warning. Firstly it was a slap in the face against his parents for whose name he began the Foundation to continue their work, which doesn't only make awards, but does a lot of charitable work amongst the Philippino poor.
Who knows, maybe Manny was at a party, or involved with a game of pool, or something equally insignificant. He has a reputation for insulting people by his careless attitude.
I don't blame Ambassador Gusi for being annoyed. It was very offensive.

And Manny would have been to blame if he had let it that way. But the arrogant Gusi went ahead and gave a hate-speech for Manny. WTF is that? Coming from a supposedly "peace" award?? The move is very uneducated and tactless.
