go back and look at the thread that was post on it by a Mayweather hater on 11/23. There wer 169 posts on that thread and 95 percent were posted by Mayweather haters criticizing him. So the answer to your question is yes!

Since Floyd's fans on this site have not jumped on this and spewed hatred towards Pacquaio the way Pac fans have, that tells me that Mayweather fans have a lot more class than Pac fans.

The Nobel is purely for the categories in which it awards "winners". The rest of the year, although the Nobel is recognised and well known in the whole wide world, We only hear of it when the awards are looming.

The Gusi award was inaugurated only 5 years ago.
Sorry I had the info wrong, should have read the article. The Gusi Award mwas inaugurated 22 years ago.

I also see from the report that Manny pulled out one of his "humble, and gratified" little megillahs.

I'd bet money that he has had a list of these comments and replies written out for him and he's practiced what to say. Until lately, Manny has never shown any of the verbal slickness that these answers imply and with his background would never even remotely think of using the words that he spills out at every 0opportunity.

Give the guy a break. He just made boxing history for chrissakes.
The guy wants to make his future in politics, and can probably see himself at the President of the Philippines at some time in the future.

In my opinion, for what it's worth- which probably isn't much- He doesn't have the "smarts" to be "all things to all men", and, unless strictly "managed' would be bound to make a huge "boo-boo" and finish his political aspirations, looking at it "from the outside".

Politics is a whole different sort of "ball game".

Why Not..It's very common thing to do. The original motive behind a Foundation like this is to commemorate your name, or in this case your parents' name, in history, for all time.

Very laudable, and natural. I'm in the process of doing the same thing.

I'm kinda glad Pacquiao didn't attend. These people just want to feel important.

I repeat. It's an award that you wouldn't even use as a paper weight.
That's a ****** and ridiculous comment. The award has been in being for 22 years, originally inaugurated by Ambassador Gusiu's parents, and carried on by him, though the Foundation he made in 2005, So the info reports.

Whichever is correct, two things stand out. ONE is that the Gusi Foundation gives away a ton of money for humanitarian needs, and that the awardees must attend in person to accept . Eighteen other awardees were able to get there, and Manny was to be in the centre..............Well, I don't blame the Ambassador for being annoyed, since I'm sure he regards it as an insult to his dead parents.

Things like this make me more firmly believe that Manny is not suitable for politics, and, although I'm sure he'll get in at some time or other, he won't stay in politics.

He'd be better off to stay in boxing where he's really appreciated.

Except for the president of your country who has participated in the ceremony.

                Right?
