You mean Cotto didn't fight Mayweather.

No disrespect to those great fighters of the past, but I'm better than Leonard, he had losses. I'm greater than Ali. He had losses, too. I'm the greatest of all time. But hold on a second, I just need to practice a bit first."

        Nnyahahaha!!
if anyone has the the right to say right now that hes the best, its your boy, manny, hes a cool humble s.o.b cause he doesnt, he got beat up by my boy, morales, what did pac do, he knocked morales out, in order to prove that k.o was no fluke, he k.od morales again , thats a warrior, mayweather is just a overated american fighter who is marketed to americans as the top prize fighter in the world, manny is definitely a top 5 p4p in my book and hes still in his prime, hes still looking for better opponents, this courageos tiny phillipino will not surprise me if he fought my boy margarito with margarito having his gloves loaded or if he fought mosley on steroids

they were #2 and #3 right after mayweather when he was fighting other guys at 130. not to mention they were both undefeated at the time and champions.

casa and freitas had been right below corrales and floyd at 130 since 1999. floyd had how many fights from 1999 'til 2002 when he left for 135.

don't knock spada either. he was top ranked at 135 for years and was a champion for 3-4 years by the time floyd moved to 135. hell by the time floyd moved to 135 spada had TWO belts. the wba and ibf.
Look who Manny fought at 135..lol

            David Diaz..

Judge Manny by the same standards applied to Floyd and his resume becomes a joke.

That safety first he's pulling now is okey, but not hunting a KO, being satified with a boring UD when the opponent already lost is not.
its like winky wright fight plan , only difference is winky was at least trying fight top oposition

                i don't care about diaz.

he wasn't even that great a win.

i don't think pacquiao did anything at 135. by the same standards as i don't think floyd did anything at 140-147.

these mofo's can't even defend floyd's resume without pointing the fingers at other people.

but but but look at so and so but but but look at what's his name.

Easy fight, good test to see how he carries the weight, and a belt is always nice to win. So why not? That was an important fight for Pacquiao, more so than you might realize, because it opened doors to 140 and 147.

I don't believe he ever intended to stay at 135, he didn't want to clean out the entire division, nor did anyone expect him to. Remember he was already talking about fighting Hatton at 140 during the time he fought Diaz? 135 was merely a pit stop before moving on to better things. And please, don't tell me the likes of Campbell would have been any kind of match for Pacquiao. Manny is leagues above, even an idiot knows this.

But anyway... this thread is supposed to be about Floyd, so let's cut the bull****.

                    Manny hasn't done **** at 140 or 147 either.

Hatton was almost KTFO by juan lazcano..but the ref allowed him to PRETEND to tie his laces.

"Hatton was never any good to begin with"..Freddie Roach

Oscar hadn't fought at WW in a decade.

"Oscar can't pull the trigger anymore at 147"...Freddy Roach

Cotto was fresh off an ass whipping from Margarito and a pitiful showing against Clottey.

                    "Cotto is damaged goods"...Freddy Roach.

manny fighting 1 time at 135 and not fighting the best in that division is the equivalent of floyd fighting 8-9 times at 140 and 147 and not fighting the next best guy in either division.

                      lame.
