Here's a side by side comparison of Pacquiao and Mayweather before De la Hoya made them more famous.

Mayweather's Highest PPV before De la Hoya:

          Zab Judah - 374,000
          Arturo Gatti - 365,000
          Carlos Baldomir - 325,000

          TOTAL : 1,064,000

Pacquiao's Highest PPV Fights before De la Hoya:

Juan Manuel Marquez Rematch - 400,000
          Erik Morales 3rd Match - 360,000
Marco Antonio Barrera Rematch - 350,000

          TOTAL: 1,110,000

          * Halo Effect - a cognitive bias whereby the perception of a particular trait is influenced by the perception of the former traits.
pacquiao does those numbers with 3 mexican legends/some of mexicos biggest names and floyd comes up a little short with 3 c level fighters and c level fame. good comparison i would like to see how mayweather would have done with them p4p.

LOL, yeah, 2.4 million buys came from Mayweather, not Dela Hoya.

maybe but tell my how come marquez-barrera drew so much less than pacquiao-barrera and pacquiao-marquez?

you know that pacquiao against solis did about the same as barrera-marquez?

it's not all because of them. pacquiao adds a little.

I thought the Judah fight did 390k.
Also you had the ability to select PPV's from Pac when Floyd only had three.
Pac had two or three ppvs in the 200k range.
