The comparison is GOOD. Pac's numbers are better

Pacs numbers were from Super Featherweight.

Mayweather's from Jr WElter to Welterweight.

Pac's number wudda been higher if those were welterweight fights.

The easiest way to solve the differnece is to compare them with the same factors.
There are known and related factors: De la Hoya and Time. The easiest way is not the right way.

Here's a side by side comparison of Pacquiao and Mayweather before and after De la Hoya made them more famous.

Mayweather's Highest PPV before De la Hoya:

            Zab Judah - 374,000
            Arturo Gatti - 365,000
            Carlos Baldomir - 325,000

            .
Nice way to waste your time with comparing fights that dont matter. Compare their common opponents PPV's that they faced. That would be Hatton, Oscar, and Marquez, those numbers tell you all you need to know. Just because you fought Oscar that has nothing to do with how well you will do PPV-wise in future fights. It didnt boost Hopkins' numbers nor anybody else, Floyd has hustled and marketed himself into a global icon by doing television shows and keeping his name relevant.

Bhopreigh try to objective. Don't be a close minded type of person. Why would you only compare those 3 fights? Total all the ppv they made and say something.

If you total all the PPV Pac doesnt come close, this is the only way the could try and come up with something close, by skewing the PPV numbers.

Floyd does better numbers, his fight with DLH sold nearly double what Pac v DLH did. Say no more. And people can go on about "oh Floyd sold that fight with his mouth, Pac did not". That is something in Floyds advantage, it don't matter how he sold the fight- the fact that he did should be the thing that is marvelled at

can you great all the list of the ppv. So that it would be more convincing. And One thing also. Remember Manny isn't an american fighter.

I understand he isnt American and it may have something to do with his lower numbers, but that doesnt erase the fact that Floyd's number are substantially higher.
