But, either does Calzaghe. I think Joe Calzaghe last lost a fight when he was 16 and Andre Ward around the same age.

If you're taking a 25-year-old Ward against a veteran Calzaghe, Calzaghe would find a way to get a foothold in the fight.

Kessler just looked average against Ward, he didn't against Calzaghe. That does have something to do with Ward but it also has a lot to do with Kessler. The man has no inside fighting game against Ward, but against Calzaghe he was firing of uppercuts like nobody's business. One solitary uppercut against Ward.

Maybe Kessler in not a great one but there must have been something there otherwise he wouldn't have pulled the wool over some many eyes. If Kessler doesn't beat Carl Froch I'd accept that he isn't that special. But, I think he had a bad night and he just isn't the type of fighter who can have bad nights and win.
the kessler that turned up against calzaghe would of beaten the kessler of the ward fight at least he tried against calzaghe

      Calzaghe by UD.

Ward wouldn't be able to keep Calzaghe off him.

It's going to be Calzaghe by decision probably, but I hate how the fans are crapping on two boxers who respect each other and have nothing negative to say about each other. Also, roflamo at either of them stopping each other. They both probably have stamina to fight for 20 + rounds.

              STFU ass kissing Koolie.

Joe fought the LOSER of an elimination bout

Floyd has never done anything that ****ed-up.

Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins TWICE..Is he an ATG???????????????????

Floyd won a MAJOR title at 21..What was Joe doing at 21??

i guess everyone forgot how hopkins totally shut down calzaghe's offense. ward would do the same. ward is not 44 either. he would throw and land more. he would have more energy to use his foot movement and not let calzaghe get off with his ineffective slaps so even the judges couldn't give it to calzaghe based on missing this time. he would tie up and rough up calzaghe on the inside. he has much better handspeed than hopkins and if hopkins was able to catch calzaghe with right hands over and over guess what happens? calzaghe would be lucky to survive this fight but he's probably going down a couple times cause calzaghe's way of closing distance is pretending he's a windmill.

Joe Calzaghe won 8 clear rounds against the best possible version of Kessler.
Ward grinded his way to a tough decision over a Kessler who was suffering from double vision and already lost to Joe.

Ward is a fine champion and a GREAT role model. but he aint in Joe's league yet.. Not yet.. One day I admit he might be.. But can't disrespect Joe like that by saying Ward is 'as good as' Calzaghe yet.

Oh also for the super six Mos who keep talking about WARD'S resume.

Calzaghe would have pimp slapped his way to a Super Six crown in place of Ward as well.. He'll lose like 6 rounds total..
